Fixed the leak in the cooling system and gave it a quick polish then spent most of the day driving, it had been just over a month since the last drive and it was nice to finally get it back out on the road again..
Then when I got back I found my brother and some of his mates and took them out for a quick cruise and they loved it.. Apparently they have been inspired to get their own old Mustang!
What a difference it makes to have passengers though!
The car felt a whole lot more planted on the road, the ride felt about 1-2" lower which I think is perfect, performance wasn't effected too badly but I could barely believe the difference it made to the steering and suspension.
Being older and softer springs the car normally bounces around over bumps quite a bit, it's not uncomfortable as I'm used to it now.. But with extra weight the car was a lot more planted and seemed faster to react to the bumps rather than the typical "boat" suspension which waits 5 minutes to respond..
I know for sure I'm going to have to lower the ride and put firmer springs and better shocks in to get that difference all the time!
