Hey guys,

Any recommendations for mustang detailing in Sydney or north of the bridge? You've got me wondering wether I should even bother getting the dealer to do the paint protection when I finally pick mine up! Is it much of a price difference?

Don't get the dealer paint protection!

There are a lot of good pro detailers in Sydney. They do much better work and use much better products.

What can I say? ....Assuming it's NOT a regrettable sale, in which case the seller wouldn't be trying to make a quick $15K, I am so p1ssed off any decent Australian would do this......now I've got it offa my chest, I can take a vallium & a few beers & CHILL... :ouch:

For an equivalent treatment the pro detailer is going to be less than half the price of the dealer.

What I am getting done will cost a little over $1000, but will last 3-5 years, includes a treatment for the rag top and rims. I have seen other cars with similar paint protection packages and they look great.

Personally I think a pro detail including clay baring, finished off with a quality Carnuba wax looks a touch better, but lasts 1 to six months.

Also passed a Shadow Black Ecoboost Coupe on the Gateway.

Thanks for all your advice guys. Always would prefer to go off recommendations, especially when it comes being ripped off for inferior service/products on my baby... Well soon to be...  😉

I have the stock black wheels....glad I didn't go with the nickel, brake dust is very painful....even on the black, hate to imagine it on the nickel.....had my White S550 3 months & 2,000km, washed it twice, the wheels 5 times...The nickel wheels would suit some colours though, black wheels suit the white IMO...

It is well worth the wait, but by god the wait can seem interminable at times!

Anyone in north west Sydney able to recommend a dealer? I'm thinking about ordering an auto convertible for my wife. She likes grabber blue so that's probably the color.
