The DRLs are disabled on mine; however, the foggies seem to be wired up so that they act as DRLs when lights set to auto. Not sure why as using foggies when visibility isn't restricted is illegal . . . Unless the foggies aren't foggies. Who knows?

Interesting as you are correct Dave, they are illegal in those circumstances

The DTRL's extinguish when the head lights are on, the fogs only work when the head lights are on.....the light intensity of the fogs is much higher than the DTRL's.

If that's the case, then to be legal, the "foggies" must be driving lights (spots)
There is a code on the front of the lenses that indicate whether lights are fog or driving. I don't know what it is but it was well discussed in the Ford Forums when FPV's first hit the market.

I'm just stating what I observed when I turn switches & press buttons in the dark on my S550! Wether it's legal or not, it happens. The car is registered so I assume it's legal.

On mine, when lights are set to auto, during the day the lower lights come on. When the indicator is applied the respective light turns off until indicator resets. If lights are turned off and the fog light button is pressed, the same lower lights come on. An inspection reveals that it is the same globe burning. Am I confused? Damn right I am.

Got my VIN today for my build due next week on 3 March. Unfortunately the window sticker details are not available as yet on the researchmaniacs link so I will try again in next couple of days.

Hi all I am new to the forum but have been reading everyones posts and information for the last month or so and wish to thank everyone for all the input on the new mustangs. I am very happy to report my car arrived into Freo today and has been offloaded. After a 14 month wait from deposit payment I am very excited to be almost a mustang owner  :thumb: :pepper:

I made my monthly call to 13FORD today and I finally got a VIN number, an estimated build date of w/c 22nd Feb and an ETA at the dealership of 12 weeks after build, so I'm hoping it will be here before the end of May! That will make it a total of 14 months from when I placed my order, but given I've waited this long, another couple of months is not really an issue.

Thanks to other posters I will use the online tracking tools etc provided in this forum once my 'Stang has been built and provide a further update in a few weeks time.

Happy driving to those who have already received their beasts and good luck to those who are still waiting!!

Cheers

Hi all, just thought I'd give a quick update on how my order is progressing for anyone who's also waiting, since Ford Oz & US have told me absolutely nothing in 11 months!

Last update was an expected build date at Flat Rock facility w/c 22nd Feb US time and I have to say that was pretty accurate, cos my Window Sticker became avail online on 24th Feb Oz time! In addition to this the Ford Etis site has updated my order Built Date from the "fake" generic date, to 25th Feb US time so I'm a very happy camper!

Question: Does anyone know if you can track your car from completed build at Flat Rock through to the shipping yard in Baltimore?

I've put my VIN number into the 2wglobal Cargo ID tracking, but still no record found and assume this will be the case until my car gets booked into Baltimore?

I'm also concerned about how long the cars can sit at the dock before being loaded onto a ship, what has been other people's experiences with these timeframes; are we talking days, weeks or (please don't say it) months maybe??

Cheers

I looked at Shannons  however now that I am older than 50 now APIA gave me the best deal and charge nothing more to pay by the month.

Ford Australia and their dealer network are totally incompetent.

I ordered my car on 4 December 2014. Car was manufactured on 10 December 2015.

Earlier this year the dealer told me delivery will be 12 Februry 2016. About 6 weeks ago this was revised to 1 March 2016.

Now I have been told the car has still NOT left the US. Revised delivery date is end of April 2016.

The idiots can't track the car and have no idea what's going on. You really wonder how these people are still in business.

No you cannot track the car from Flat Rock to Baltimore. Mine was built 11/12 and sat at the port for 53 days. Some hardly sit at all. Then 4 to 5 weeks sailing and whatever on top of that. A real test of patience.

That's poor inventory management. Should be first in first out.

Presently Ford Australia don't have a problem as demand is greater than supply. This dynamic will change in time. Buyers won't continue to tolerate their incompetence.

Thanks Jarv, this gives me the answer to a query I had of when the Window Sticker details became available as I have now got my VIN.
