Yes, going in the old girl and the 4 speed auto.
Its a bitsa, falcon engine with a mix of mustang gt and explorer components.
Will be using the ford ecu with some extensive remapping.
Peter.
A mate is running one with a Mega squirt ecu, with the auto from an NC Fairlane the engine came from, some of the early 4 speeds have a stand alone ecu, just needs TPS signal. He did not use the original air ram, but rather a throttle body under a factory air cleaner, so it looks kind of stock still multi point  injection though, modified the injection lower manifold to suit the throttle body. Seems to go ok.

No, ported e7 heads with 1.7 roller rockers.

Wanted to stay with the ford ecu.
Once you change the "Look up tables" they are a very good ecu.
Running explorer intake, similar to AU but with more flow.
Explorer throttle body, again bigger than AU
Genuine ford ( Crane roller rockers) 1.7:1 ratio.
95LE auto.
Peter.

HO cam, I guess with the 1.7s? That should wake it up a bit they make good power. I'm going to put mine together this week, painted the inside of the block last night, about to go and give the outside a hit of 2pack shortly. I'm using some AFR Outlaw alloy heads, and reasonable sized Comp Cam extreme energy roller cam with some Scorpion roller rockers. I've got a set of 1.7s comp cams rockers, from another engine, but the valves will be getting close to the pistons on this cam I think, and I don't want to move the power an higher up the rev range, I'll check the clearance when I build it, may try the 1.7s later for an experiment. Not running injection, but and RPM Air-gap and Holley avenger. Got some RHD Hedman ceramic coated 4 into 1 headers, from Sydney mustang supplies. Hopefully it will be a pretty twisty engine.

HO cam with 1.7 rockers were standard in the sprint engine in the falcon.
I am using flat tops with valve relief only, so that should get the comp up a bit.
I want the EFI and electronic 4 speed auto.

Got the footwell light working. Had trouble getting the globe in which was frustrating so had to take the glovebox out and undo the light bracket to do some work on the light fitting to get the globe in. All good now.

Picked her up from the mechanic another thousand dollars poorer with the news that the oil leak is bigger than we thought and will require the engine to be pulled from the car! At least he has fixed the sway bar bushes that were the wrong ones, fixed the fuel mix, set the timing right (off 30 degrees), gave it a f
Good service and fixed various other things that were questionable!

Thankfully he is an old family friend so I know he isn't ripping me off.

Finished assembling all the wiring, fuel components and completed all the fiddly bits.
I also rebuilt the auto this week and reattached it to the heart.
Been a busy week, but enjoyable.

Just drove it again after 2 days of clay blocking & waxing, approached by a guy at the local drive thru dry cleaners who has been itchin' to meet me & has been checking out my GT, he & his daughter have seen me cruisin around quite alot (possibly on my way to Sydney mustang Parts), they live close by, he knew where I lived coz his daughter saw me pulling in the drive, thats scary....he wants to buy a toy, not getting mine... :lmao: it's such a buzz when a stranger appreciates ur ride, I've had guys take fotos at traffic lights of my ride, I'm sure it happens to all of us
