I took my Stang to a traffic jam on the Monaro Hwy . . . 10 kms in 55 minutes.     But it didn't overheat.    :pepper:  but I did   :ouch:

Hey Matt,

I'm probably coming along to the show, however the car may be in the shop with Gerry. Next week he is having it for a day and going over it to see what needs fixing / replacing like a different fuel pump for instance. Then the mobile paint guy is to be booked to repair the damage the bogans did at that Dealership. So we will just see how the dates pan out.
Yes Const. Foster is a known to a few of my mates in the Hills. He has a thing for a Hilux with 20 inch or 22 inch rims. He must have pulled me up 4 times already and every time I jump out and show him that I have the correct load rated Tyres and 20 inch rims, my mate on the other hand has 22inch and they are not to the load rating so he has had an ongoing battle with the constable. He seems like not such a bad bloke because i just give him a ribbing about having a memory like a goldfish and he hasn't pulled out the taser........yet. Anyway those days are over because i have just sold the Hilux. Now it's the Hiace as the daily driver and the daughters Kia with the  Mustang on weekends, I will need to buy another car when my 16yr old takes over the Rio I bought her, so I will be up for suggestions on a daily driver when I'm not in the van.

Well, not today, but on Monday I got a permit, filled her up with fuel (after having to drain the tank of the stale fuel) and went to get a quote for panel work that needs doing.
It's booked in for mid May so I'll have to get another UVP, but they will pretty much get the car back to the condition it was in before the.. "Misunderstanding"... Between the right front corner and the brick section of the garage wall...  :bolt:

Then on Wednesday I took it to get a new exhaust put on, unfortunately because of the long weekend and difficulty finding extractors, it won't be finished until next week, but it should sound really nice and look good with the new chrome tips! :event:

Shortly after that is all done it will (hopefully) be going out for seat belts and a RWC before applying for club rego.

Installed a ribbed tail light panel today and adjusted the boot lid. Being a repo part the quality was a bit so so. I had to spend a few hours prepping the panels as the casting was rough. I chose to paint it metallic silver which was very similar to the raw cast colour. Tomorrow the bumper and boot molds.

Yesterday afternoon installed the deluxe, finned lower door trims I bought from Mert. Exact repro and perfect fit, can't tell the difference from the originals. The originals were badly dented after being hammered by the retractable lapbelts over the last 45 years; will have to be careful it doesn't happen again - the lap belts retract like a sling shot.
Put in a new 'flasher can' to fix the wildly erratic and silent turn signals. Fixed the problem, but not happy with the brake lights as indicators so ordered the combined LED turn signal and backup light from Mustang Project today.

Started it!

I've been overseas for 6 months so the poor girl has sat for a while. Thankfully she fired right up like i'd driven her yesterday!
