Well done, Happy 1 ! How's the hind leg feeling ? Probably like lots of steel splinters in there. It will improve, though.

Well I fitted new rear springs. Maybe now she won't drag her tail  :pepper:

Tomorrow she gets new front springs as well, just hope she appreciates it and stands like a lady.

Collected mine this afternoon after the rear springs were replaced along with new rear sway bar and a few other things. The ride is now a bit harder (good) and she now sits a bit higher. I'll now have to drop the rear by about 5cm and the front by about 2.5cm. Am taking the Stang to Shannon's Wheels tomorrow to share in a dose of motor vehicle history.

For my ride "IGALOP" ; the mancave got a bit of a refresher today.
I secured some 25 old road signs, street signs, speed signs, no standing/parking signs, public place signs etc and have put some of these up on the wall of the mancave. Worth a small fortune probably.
I still have several more to put up in the next couple of days.
I am continually looking for more memorabilia or older display stuff to line the walls/shelves and it will be an ongoing labour of love. Going to a swap meet tomorrow.

Had ordered a good quality replacement battery cable set from Marti Auto Works with correct Autolite and part number line printing a while ago to replace the the old battered generic ones that were on the coupe. I finally got around to installing them today. Now just waiting on my group 24 Autolite battery I ordered from Harry's Classics.  :thumb:

Took mine to Shannon's Wheels at Thoroughbred Park. Hundreds of cars of all makes and ages and about 20 Mustangs for mine to play with.

Had to fix my sisters and her husbands 66 coupe this morning.
They just recently had to have their car towed from their place to their local mechanic to have the starter motor recoed due to it playing up and not starting at all, cost $240 + plus tow
Well it packed it in again this morning out the front of my place as they were about to leave for the 2 hour long trip home :smash:
I removed the starter motor cable to find that it was probably original and in very bad shape with the insulation cracked and missing in and around the standoff brackets below the exhaust manifold right the way through to the cable lug.
Disconnected the lug to find that the starter motor post was buggered ie. stripped!
Pulled the starter motor out to test it with jumper leads to find the throw out pinion gear to also be in bad shape  :ouch:
Apparently their mechanic outsourced the reconditioning of the starter motor but should have picked up on all the other issues  :kickass:
Anyway ,pieced it all back together along with a newly made up cable to hear a horrible meshing sound on startup :thud:
Mechanic has been notified and is organising to personally pick the car up tomorrow from theirs to sort it  :smile01: hopefully!

I took out the C4, lined it up properly and bolted her back up, now we can move it to finish painting her. Those C4's are tricky little things if you're not careful.

Painted the Argent stripes on top of my shaker.

I put the CobraJET scripts on my shaker top - I've had them for over 5 years, it's great to have made a step -even such a small one...

Well it was yesterday but I took out my aluminium air con bracket smoothed out the corners and then gave it a coat of black paint.
