Did you inspect your car personally? What condition is it in?

Don't think i'm having a go at you but what does that have to do with this thread, he was asking about import approval times, i'm sure he can look after his own affairs when it comes to condition of the car, its his money and his life and i'm sure he knows the pittfalls of buying a car from overseas.

Thats a fact mate...omly just got internet mate. All approved days ago along with some that I sent off a week ago...musta put em all on the same approval...theyve done that before

As for facelifts...have no idea what that means but I offered Kenny $3000 more than he paid for it on teh day it supposed to leave Florida

@MustangPaul: While I appreciate your concern, from the photos and videos Matt has sent and his professed love for the car

I'm quite confident that it is not indeed a polished turd and is as good as Matt believes it is. Of course there are risks buying a car sight unseen but if the car turns out to be an old hag with a facelift I could always get a carpenter to repair it for me.

I do not part with my money on a whim. Matt did offer me money to walk away from the car but after an extremely patient 8 month search I wasn't about to let this one go. Thanks heaps Matt and Sheri.

Well things are moving now..... my car left this week on a Trans-Pacific cruise. :redpepper::yellowpepper::redpepper::yellowpepper::redpepper:
Should arrive in Melbourne on May 12th. I've tried a few shipping tracker sites, can anyone recommend a good one? So far only one has shown the vessel it's on, although that was from the 22nd April.

Great to know it is on the way.

If you do a search for "Pacific North West String " you will see the route of the ship, and if you find a schedule just look to see which ship from Long Beach is due on the 12th May in Melbourne.

Agree with macka though, the ships name should be shown on the bill of loading.

I don't think you are having a go at me and I have enjoyed my membership so far. the facelift bit was a joke my 63 year old panel beater brother told me years ago. I thought I'd share that humour with you. Probably best when someone asks how are you not to tell them to mind their own business. Goes the same when someone tries to share your success on a buy.

Imagine going in for a face lift. They don't really lift your face they just re arrange it. The joke implies that to get a facelift they actually lift the face. A doctor would not do such a thing. And I don't blame you for not getting the joke it was a very bad joke. I told my brother that at the time. I thought it was just my sense of humour though as I respect my brother so much. Now I'm going to tell him I was right, it was a bad joke. I really must apologise, it was just the way I was brought up. Bad brother, bad brother.
