Finally picked it up from Newcastle on Friday morning .  About 4 months since i won the ebay auction, so a long time waiting for it to arrive from Ohio, US.  Definitely worth the wait though.:rub:  Hopefully have it rego'd in a few weeks then plenty of cruising.

Conrats Yellow 66.....thats an awesome looking muscle car.
Great colour combo too - you know what they say, "once you've had black you never go back".

Thanks Gents.

Will see about that Martini.  Already well aware of what everyone says about keeping black cars clean.  Within an hour of cleaning her, i could see the dust settling again

That was the original plan Moe, but it arrived a little later than expected.  I can't see me getting it rego'd by Friday arvo, so unless you get that car trailer you are after and come and get me. i don't think it will be there.

Great looking car, nice work.  Look forward to seeing it around the Capital. We should organise a special christening run.

I remember that car, I watched it go through ebay a couple of times. I was spewing when it actually sold, I was hoping it wouldn't as I wasn't quite ready to buy just yet. Your a lucky man!!

There was another one similar at the same time and it also got sold and was on its way to Aus. The other sold for $27500 then was advertsied in one of the Aus classified mags for $55000.

Funny Ash, cause i was stoked when it sold :smile01:  I couldn't believe it hadn't at BIN price, especially when similar Mach 1's  on "carsonline"were US10 - 15 K more expensive.  Must admit i nearly stuffed it up when i let the auction run instead of hitting BIN. Silly me didn't realise the BIN disappears when the reserve is reached :banghead:

Pinto Pete - discovered that on the second day i had it.  Gave it a waterless wash in the garage and within an hour dust had blown in and was very noticeable.  I always steered away from black cars due to this, but this one caught my eye and i just had to have it.

You've done well, you got a great buy in a beautiful colour!

Any plans for it? Or just going to enjoy it as is?

Good point Pinto Pete - may have to be bumblebee (black and yellow) 6669.

Thanks Ash.  Only plans are to put the new Torq Thrusts 11's on when they arrive - 17 x 9.5 with 275's at the rear and 17 x 8 with 245's up front.  May be forced to lower it a little, then hit the road for loads of cruising.  What the are plans for your new beast?

Cool, keen to see what the 17's look like. Should go good with the black body.

Just have to sort out the few minor engine issues when it arrives. I've got a new rear window louver for it too but am not going go the rear wing. I'd also like to do a rear disc brake conversion. then just drive it

Hey Yellow.

I just love that engine bay. Did you buy this beast sight unseen?

Beautiful car mate!!!  Well done

Thanks 67Scotty

No, it was on ebay and i got further photos.  I had been in contact with a guy who owns a Restoration shop (specialising in mustangs) and he had inspected another car for me (and advised i could find better).  I had the owner send the resto guy the photos and asked him if he thought it was worth the trip to inspect (he was 250 miles away).  He said yes after seeing all the photos and made the round trip.  He said it was a great buy and that if i decided not to buy it, he would!!!!!  Told him to keep his grubby mits off and the rest is history!!!!
