I was eyeing off yellow66's 69 a lot when it was up for auction. I sat back as I didn't feel ready to buy yet. That was about a year ago now. If I had of brought it, I'd be out driving it and enjoying it as he is. Except mine is looking down the barrel of another 12 months maybe before I get behind the wheel. Was just wishing I could have got up this morning, turned the key and took off for a cruise.

Hi Ash, sorry to hear all is not going to plan.  Yes, putting a few miles on the Mach 1 - take it for a spin every weekend.  Due to a lack of garage space (and nothing happening on the garage extension yet - my fault) the yellow coupe is at a friend's place about 20 mins drive away.  As such, i think i have only driven in once in the last 2-3 months. So what are these bad thoughts you're having?   :smile01:

Pinto Pete - i just checked my emails to jog my memory and it appears i ordered 17 x 8" fronts with 4.75"BS and  17 x 9.5"rears with 6"BS. They are wrapped in 245 and 275 tyres and i've had no issues at all.

That's sweet that you're out in the big block every week. But sounds like you need some time to get the extension done to get the 66 home. Trust me though, you'll make the shed bigger, fill it and then only wish you had made it bigger again! :smile01:

I'm contemplating repainting mine to the same colours as yours. Mine needs some work to the body, it would get out and about fine as is but up close you can pick its faults. The wife is all for it too, she is not a fan of the Acapluco blue. I talked about your car and another just like it so much at the time, she expected me to buy a black one. Seeing as my car is not concourse and never will be, I have no hesitations in changing it more either.

Yours was all original under the bonnet wasn't it? Have you changed or have any plans to change anything?

Ash, the black is beautiful when clean, but like everyone says, a real pain to keep it that way.  I swear, it is dusty 15 mins after cleaning it!!!!
Yes, all original under the bonnet and no plans to change anything.  Wheels and lowering was enough mods for me.

Ray, have the magnums stored "just in case" and no plans on selling them thanks.

Cheers

Finally got around to taking an updated pic.  The car has been lowered at the front and has new wheels.  Thanks to Darryl (MustangNut) for fitting the steering and suspension kits. rear leaf springs and a handful of other small jobs.  Note that the concrete in the pics is sloped and makes the car look a little lower at the front than it actually is, and a little highter in the back that it actually is.  May have to get out again and take a decent pic :smile01:

Congratulations on a drop dead gorgeous car!

Can`t wait to see it in the flesh at Newcastle.
