Cool, let's start of with interest from the Sydney siders who'd like to join me on Saturday 24th.
I'll be leaving about 11ish or midday to arrive at Can-berra by 3pmish....need to be there no later than 330 for pick-up.
Wedding duties will finish at 6pm.
I definately want to stay the night but still trying to organise a tent...lol...maybe i can pitch one over the car and sleep in it...my wife keeps making that comment so I might as well make it true.

Allow at least 3 hours from Sydney & cruise. It is over 2 hours from Douglas Park & I am almost 1 hour out of Sydney.

The 25th is ANZAC Day.  It's been a while since I visited the war memorial and this would be a good day to attend just to experience the atmosphere.

I would be keen to join in and at the moment, all the bills are paid and I have a free weekend! I'll bring the 'stang :(

:i i started taking little girl a few years back and son will be first year this year. Its good for them to learn respect for the fallen troops that let us live the lives we do today.  My kids go to war memorial every few months, when ever they ask and all agree we go. I am so proud that they are interested in what people did so we could enjoy our freedom. Also helps great pop flew in a Lancaster. Last visit we saw the closing ceremony for the first time even that was moving.

That is achievable, with a little bit of planning, but you need to be there early for a close park. I would be keen to be in it.
Cheers.

I might see if I can come down, it will be in the crummydore though. I have been looking for an excuse to do the dawn service at the War Memorial. It would be a nice change from going into Sydney.

I can catch up on Saturday arvo.

Family and some old Duntroon classmates are going to the Dawn Service and breakfast after.  My son (Iraq veteran) will be there with us.

Look forward to catching up on Saturday arvo.  Mo will you let me know where and when please?

Dawn Service starts at 0530 so to get a good spot for parking and near the Stone of Remembrance you need to be there by 05:00!

Sydneysiders, bring a warm jacket, hat and gloves!  It's usually cold.
