Scott,

You mst be having a FN ball doin this. I just read it from the beggining.
Fanastic thread mate...very informative. Im lovin all your fabrication..I just love that sort of stuff.
As for the clear indicator in the centre...its well worth the time making two spacer panels and fitting 2 more globes...I think the clear one in the centre looks TRICK...onthe outside i just looks outa place...just my 2c

Great job mate.

Really looking forward to your front end conversion with ya new rack

Thanks Matt , im enjoying it . But next time im springing the $1500-$2000 for soda blasting the whole car. I spent the whole of today 8-9 hours solid , paint stripping just the inside boot area with scraper and steel wool , and thats without doing the boot lid and LH boot floor which i am replacing with a new section. So many layers of paint!  I only have the inside boot lid and the whole bonnet to strip now , its wasting good panel beating time.
I will be going for the clear lens in the middle , its very 60-70s style like the XR-XY falcons , and i already have the 3 globes each side coz it has the Fairlane wiring harness and will put dividing plates in.

Looking good Scott, we have cyber met on another forum, this forum seems to be the place to be.  I'll be picking your brains in regards to the EB EFI engine install soon.  Just one question, what did you do to your engine mounts, you swapped them from left to right but did you modify them at all to move the engine forward a bit?

Cheers, Tim

Cool, I didn't use the braces on my kit, I really couldn't see a need for it. Are you going to install them?

When I purchased the car they were sorta tacked in same as the RH conversion but had to redo everything. Taken me 2 years so far. I've just retired so may have a bit more time I hope.:f

Nice to see some updates Scott, I love that you are so meticulous with everything. I think I said it earlier but if you ever decide to come to Sydney I think I could find some work for you.
I think when its finished it will be one of the top fastbacks in the country.

Thanks Steve . i do get carried away a bit , and if i wasnt so darn picky about what will be covered up by paint , i dare say i proberly would of been driving it 6 months ago. I now have a rear screen to boot panel coming at the end of this month because i couldnt live with knowing that i have a pitted area , even though it has been sandblasted and treated and hasnt rusted through to the other side. These panels i believe have only just come available for the 65-66 fastbacks , as i couldnt get one a year ago , could only get 67 onwards.
My big test will be the final prep , i think i can paint good enough not superbly thou , i can live with that . But seeing if i can get it all straight enough to be happy with , being Black and all im not to confident . I think ill be having a few goes at that.
