Bullitt
« on: March 08, 2018, 11:10:46 am »
Hi,
Wondering who else on hear has ordered the 2018 Bullitt mustang. I know Im no4 to order from my dealer and hoping some one will know if there is a national order list and if so how to get info              ie am I likley to get one. I'm  aware there are very few details but figure if I'm  in the top 2 -300 I might have a good chance.

Probably worth starting a Bullitt topic anyway for info as becomes available.
Thanks

It's a shame because it's the only new Mustang I would seriously consider buying and I'm pretty sure pricing and availability will push it well out of reach...
Cheers,
Brian

I agree and I wasn't going to order until I understood. My sister works for a local Ford dealer and that's where I got the response. Spec and price to come?

At the end of June I will finish with my current employer and don't have the next gig lined up yet so probably need to buy a daily driver. Have not had to think about that for more than 25 years.

I though were pretty well sorted and I guess depends on demand and numbers coming.
Based on OS pricing hoping around 80,000.anyone got a mate at ford re demand and supply

Go put a deposit down now. That is if your dealer will be able to access any. They will let you pull out if you decide not to proceed as there will be plenty lined up behind you.

I have my order in and deposit paid. According to Ford the dealers have a "window" each month to place orders. So it sounds like mine will be a march order vs anyone ordering later. No mention how cars are assigned but I'm  assured the big dealers wont get all the cars.. Have to wait and see

Is Ford putting a limit on production numbers?

In have a normal 2018 in order since last June. My colleague just ordered a Bullitt, he was told he was number 2 on the list and 160 were being made available to Australia

Will do, I might change my order to a Bullitt. What’s the waiting time and are they sending any automatics?

Cheers

There is really no firm info on the Bullitt. It is coming but how many , when iand how much isnt determined. From what I know there will be no automatics  but I could be wrong. Basically put $1000 down and well get back to you

I would be an insult to the original car to make any of them auto. A few years back a friend in the USA had to learn to drive manual to buy a convertible Mustang. He was in his mid 40's at the time, served in the USAF and never drove stick, lol. I just find that unbelievable.

It's all about marketing these days - there'd be no 50th anniversary car at all if Ford didn't think there was a dollar in it...

True though the marketing for this car is how much it resembles the original, right down to the cue ball gear knob. Since it's a limited edition, I can't see them tarnishing the image with auto versions.

It might be worth checking the your order position, as I was speaking to a dealer & a friend last month about this and I believe there was about 5 cars ordered & deposits taken already.  These orders were from Victoria only.
Have now converted the other half into doing some of the Concours washin, cleaning & polishing stuff!!!!!!!!

Yep. They are finally building them with steering wheel on the correct side of the car.
