But as luck would have it he Ford dealer sent me this email today

"I have some great news.

You have been allocated a BULLIT Mustang!

You were one of the last orders to receive a vehicle, very lucky!

As you are one of the last orders, the estimated arrival is June 2019 at this stage.

The factory are currently preparing for production, and they have just release a factory option.

. . Different states have different years but 30 years is most Common .

I think he means to ask; will it be factory RHD.

May I ask what is the price of one of these beauties off the dealer floor in Aus.?

From all reports, the pricing for the base Bullitt will be around AUD$80k drive away.

Which will still be cheaper than a new RHD Camaro in Aus

I just got confirmation that I am getting one too, either late this year or early next year. The dealer is going to let me know later this week when it will be arriving. Gives me time to sell my coupe.

the quote was $75,000 which included paint and leather protection and front sensors, standard seats and suspension.
They did say that it was a approximation only.

I was quoted between $75k to $80k with the Recaro seats, drive away & was told the Bullitt comes standard with the Magnaride suspension & all the other goodies that are options on the GT. Whatever you do, do not let the pretty little sales girl with the great legs & short skirt talk you into the paint & leather protection as it ($1900) is a total waste of money. Been there, done that, never again. That sales girl WAS hot though!

This x1,000,000 :agree:

A professional detailer will give you a significantly better quality product and result, for half the price.

Ha ha, Pete, they tried that with me when i bought one of the last territory's at the local ford dealer,
She tried to tell me that the privacy glass is not the same as window tint, the windows are so black you cant even see in the car!
I did get the free floor mats and headlight and bonnets protectors though :evilone:

I know a guy that works for a very large multi-dealership in Ipswich who does the window tinting for them through the week, which is charged out to the customer at an average of $600 per car. On the weekends in his shed, he & his mate who also does the same thing, tint car windows using the exact same product (3M) & charge $250 for exactly the same service. He told me that the whole "Protection Package" thing is a big ripoff & there is a huge markup on the products. Late last year, the wife & I bought a new Hyundai i30SR (an absolute rocket) & the dealer did their very best in trying to talk us into the protection package which also included tinted windows. I told them I wasn't interested, but how much just to tint the windows.....you guessed it, $600. I told them I knew a guy that would do it for less than half of that. In the end, the dealership said they could do a full window tint for $300, which I accepted. Go figure!

Cant blame them for trying, I suppose there is plenty of people prepared to pay.

Up to the individual to research and make the decision.
Always dreamed I'd have one!
