Would be good to have it staggered so no clashing.

All American Mystery Cruise is first weekend of month,
Romans, Doughnuts & Sydney Machina are all on second weekend,
Harry's; whenever it's back; is last weekend.

So how about 3rd weekend in month so there's something on every weekend?

This was posted on their facebook page on 7th November:

Hi everyone just wanted to update you all as we have had quite a few people asking about EOM. Our landlord has put forward a contract to us for any car event that is held on site. We have gone through it all & will sign & return it this week as we have asked for it to return this EOM being the 26th however they are not sure if there is enough time etc to organise from their end so will keep you all posted but yes it will definitely be coming back......stay tuned!

Unless there has been further development we can only hope it's true

I'm sure it'll be talked about here but from their post it sounds like late December may be a goer ... for those not going away for Xmas I suppose.

Sydney's inner west here.

I've been working long weekend shifts the past few months, I've been hanging to go on a cruise but my roster's killing me, lol.

Fingers crossed I have no clashing shifts.

I'm in the south west

Harry's at Tempe was trying to get something started a while back but I don't think any car clubs accepted the offer.
Birdman's inner south west so it could be convenient for a few here.

Hak, check the club membership listing.  It is an easy enough job to then do a graph on post codes or regions and see where the membership resides.

Within Sydney region, there is a very strong membership in the north west region (Hills District) with a correspondingly low saturation in the northern beaches area.  You will find members from all over the Sydney basin and regrettably, the saturation of members has very little bearing on attendances.

The past has seen a very good roll up for a cruise followed by bar B Q or meal - the Wollongong trip last weekend being a good example or, so too were the day trips to Avon and Cordeaux dams.  The ridge run (Windsor to Mt Tomah Gardens to Hydro Majestic to Penrith) was another sure fire indicator that members want to get out and drive their cars and then have a chin wag at the end.  The Tuesday Traffic Dodger trips are also working very well and maybe that format could be adapted for a weekend run.

You have members willing to do the train museum next to the Silverwater jail as well as doing another nudie run (was partly done for the Mustang reveal) but the next time, we will blast through the streets of Sydney at 7AM in 100 plus Mustangs being driven the way they were intended to be enjoyed - that's the spirit you want to harness and you won't need a poll to gauge their interests as you will hear them coming for miles around.

BTW, I am in the Hills and agree with Skev - if only for one month so we can flex our muscle and let people really know we are a club of a size to be reckoned with.  :bolt:

7am on a Sunday. 100 + Mustangs at full noise across the Bridge. Sounds good to me. Probably worth the trip down from the Coast. Brekky afterwards ?

Norm, you hit the nail on the head.

1 Bobbin Head Bar BQ perhaps? Somewhere else along the Hawkesbury if that is too cramped.

2 Shoot up to Wiseman's Ferry (more room) - has the highway run covered; country run; ease of access for north n south and enough room for all.

3 Lane Cove National Park might also work well.

Do I hear Convoy playin' in the background?  Let's get this show on the road and let them Mustangs roar 10 4

Phil,

Any National Park like either Bobbin Head or the Royal National Park do not like large groups like car clubs etc.  attending for their BBQ's etc. The Camaro Firebird Club who have held there Annual BBQ and Auction there for I think 15 years or so, were just hauled over the coals by the National Parks and Wildlife Service for such an event a couple of months ago.

As for the 100 or so cars over the Harbour Bridge, permission from the NSW RMS is required and also the NSW Police Force. Ford Australia attempted to do this with the Mustang  50 year birthday celebrations and found it too difficult to put together.

As for putting another run together, Hak and I are constantly chatting and throwing ideas at each other, and something will come to fruition.

Or maybe  Phil, you should organise a run as you have all these ideas. You can organise the event,,you can deal with all the agencies to reserve the venue, you can promote the event,  you can go and do all the purchasing of all the food, you can print all the maps, you can lug all the food etc. to the venue, and you can even cook the BBQ too, and last but not least, you can do all the cleaning up as well.

Actions speak louder than words!

Well said Al

It's one thing throwing suggestions and another championing them I'm open to all ideas

My poll is for a unofficial meet up once a month early morning or later evening as many car groups do wether it be Harry's at Liverpool parramatta or any where else for food and a yarn. Often these start off with 5 cars and grows if there a need or fizzle out if there isn't

Believe me when I say Al and I are looking for Champions so I urge all you guys to step up for your club and if you champion one run per year that in it self is helps. remember we're all volunteers and straight forward telling you guys we have life to and we're asking for help.

Hak, check the club membership listing.  It is an easy enough job

Not that easy really. Hak has asked, "Anyone interested in setting up a regular Mustang meet up?", so the poll should really be only for those who are serious in attending each month if you want this to be successful.

There's no point saying the largest concentration resides in Woop Woop when nobody from Woop Woop actually wants to attend a monthly meet.

Yes an unofficial meet up once a month is perfect.
Just a suggestion from myself.
How about Torque Bar n Grill. Open for brekky lunch and dinner. Ample parking for 50 odd cars and easy to get to for Sydney siders.

if you champion one run per year that in itself helps.

I'm interested for later in the new year. Right now I'm working part time and booked every weekend till NYE working late nights.
