Hi Jarv,

Also new here. I was just wondering what info you need to provide when ringing 13FORD. I ordered my mustang last April and also have gotten zero feedback regarding my order. They rang me at the beginning of December to sign a waiver to allow FORD in the USA to contact me directly, but I am yet to receive anything yet.

Cheers

Hi Anton,

Apart from your name, dealership and mustang details the key piece of info is your Order or Stock number from your dealer. No idea if they're the same format across the dealerships but mine is 4 characters long only (2 digits and 2 letters).

Good luck!

I believe that Ford refer to that order number as the NSC number. When I made an enquiry with Ford Australia they asked me for that number and I had to get it from my dealer. Mine is the same configuration as Jarv23.

Here's a question for the new owners. Does the new Stang come with digital radio or are we still limited to the AM and FM bands? I had a drive of a new Territory Titanium the other day and it had digital. Just wondering.

No waiting or shortages in the US guys.
On a visit to a Dealership in Indiana this week it's just choose your colour.

I'm operating on conventional AM/FM but apparently there is DAB and its a software upgrade from the dealer. I take it back at 3000 KM and will hopefully get the upgrade then.

Also, just in response to the back seat questions, I reckon they are great considering. If you've got anyone over, say, 5'6 they'll appreciate you rolling the driver and passenger seats in a bit, but they are deep buckets, very comfy. The roof can get awfully close to passenger heads - but when you've got a convertible that problem is solved. :)

Just received our VIN number today, build is underway ETA early May arrival, dealer says should have it by end of May  :pepper:, will have been a 15 month wait since we ordered it, managed to get a drive of an eco boost fastback today, the GT should be awesome.

...except in winter

Heated seats Mark - windows up and warm air through the vents.

California cruising I think it's called...

I know it gets a bit cool in SA during winter - up here the minimum is about 15deg over that time.

Had mine 12 days now....can't believe I haven't sat in the back seat yet! (did spend time on my knees treating the leather tho') saving that for my 6 yo grandson Friday when I pick him up from school. Booster seat fits perfectly, just hope n pray he likes it as much as he likes the 66GT...best thing other the looks & performance of this car is the cooled seats...awesome!!!!!!!

My car was manufactured on 10 December 2015 and it appears it still has not left the USA. Neither the monkey at Ford Australia or the dealer are able to track the status the vehicle. This is the first time I have ever purchased a Ford and I must say my experience to date has been terrible. Early this year the dealer quoted an ETA of 10 February 2016. Then revised to 1 March 2016. Now they are saying end of March 2016 with no certainty.

The irony is that dealers in the USA are holding surplus stock of the Mustang. Other countries like Australia are demanding greater supply but they aren't responding. Piss poor management both in the USA and here.

What did you treat your leather with? I have noticed these seats mark Realy easily. Mine from the dealer already had a scratch on it from the truck driver unloading the car! (Well so they tell me)

mine haven't marked at all....."Oakwood" available from supercheap. It's a combination wax, best to sit the car & product in the sun, lay it on as per instructions & leave it in the sun so the product melts into the leather, don't wipe it off but do it again in the hot sun next day or so, then wipe excess off. These instructions aren't on the label but from a detailers experience, this is the start. you will get shiny residue on the plastic parts, don't be concerned, once dry it will wipe dry. If you can beg, borrow or steal the product that is supplied with new BMW's, then do so, that product is awesome....

Wouldn't you have to be careful about clogging the small holes in the seat that are for the heating/cooling ?

My GT Ragtop was built on December 11th, and is scheduled to leave Baltimore on Feb 23rd, with a estimated discharge date of 26 March at Melbourne. I guess mid April before I get mine....seems a long wait, but I am sure it with be worthwhile.

You may need a cold shower 3 times a day till the end of march

For your sake I hope it arrives on time - or earlier.

hi guys...I am glad for all the people who have received their new pony and those who know where their car is ...

but I order my dec 13 and was told I would be in the first batch to be told then there was a stuff up and it would be early new year,.

ive got the vin and was told in aus around 12 march...now there can only see that it WAS in Baltimore and cant see it on a boat...now maybe past 26 march.

I am working in Darwin and was to bring by 4x4 here while having the pony in Sydney.

going back to Sydney for easter and was hoping it would be there by then.

after easter going back to Darwin till august. so wont be able to use new pony till then and will have to fly back just to pick it up at some stage

what a mess

could have it delivered to Darwin but it will get wrecked here and all my mates will wont to try it out on the unrestricted speed limit areas on the way down to alice....no chance...I wont to keep it as long as I can

any suggestions to track it would be appreciated...ive tried the shipping site for ford etc and have the sticker info but no car....respect dingo

Ordered Dec 2013? A huge balls up..

What is your dealer doing about it? Nice guy or not - I'd be on them like a ton of bricks, only way you'll get it quicker or some

financial compensation perhaps.

It will get lots of klm's and stonechipped to hell if you take it up there - best just to drive it on your trips south.

Ruby Red is a great colour - had a couple of people change their order after seeing ours.

Good luck with it  :event:

Cheers
