I'll be gone by then, but judging by this weather, I'll be a no-show...just got it home before the storm, so no pics except this one.
Let me tell you, it's worth buying from Rockdale just to have the delivery girl sit with you for 1/2 hour explaining the gadgets...she's ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS...lol

There are a few factory issues which I will post in the 2015/6 owners reports with fotos when I get a chance, but is a product of mass production. Overall nice to drive & sounds "FN" awesome inside the cabin.

Hi mate, when did you order your car? I placed on order in December 2014 (Oxford White GT Manual) from City Ford Rockdale. Production was December 2015 and I've just been told the car hasn't even left the USA. It shouldn't take that long from production to placing it on a ship.

Yup John, October 13th 2014, so 15 1/2 months from initial order...but it wasn't until March 2015 when the costs were available, that is when the dealer could formally order I believe...well that's wot they told me

My build date was Oct 15th 2015, loaded in Baltimore on 28/11/15, then arrived Port Kembla 7/1/2016, collection at Rockdale yesterday 29/1/2016.... 3 weeks from when it landed in Port Kembla.....it's worth the wait, the delivery girl (Michelle) is absolutely gorgeous & knows her Mustang...even with the obvious distraction, I followed everything she said ....what car did I buy?.......

Cant wait to meet this Michelle bird. Oh and yes, looking forward to the mustang

I have purchased about $18,000 in gear from the US for the new Mustang. Looking at massive mechanical and body enhancements. The only thing I haven't ordered is the supercharger. That's stage 2 :)

When I am done the Mustang will look something like this :)

My delivery timeline:
Ordered 13 December 2014
Built late October 2015
At Baltimore late Oct / early Nov 2015
Waited in Baltimore for around 3 weeks before being loaded on ship
Left Baltimore around 20 November 2015
Arrived Melbourne 20 December 2015
Picked up from dealer on 5 January 2016  :thumb:

Unfortunately the gorgeous Michelle wasn't there to help with my Mustang delivery.  You can't have everything.

Which dealer did you purchase from? I ordered mine 4 December 2014 and they are saying arrival is now mid March 2016. earlier this year I was told mid Feb. Starting to get pissed off with both Ford Australia and the dealer. Shouldn't taking this long for a car to arrive after being produced early Dec 2015.

Ordered mine from CityFord Rockdale. 2 months from loading in Baltimore & delivery in Rockdale, but it arrived in Port Kembla 3 weeks b4 delivery, so 5 weeks on ships.
I drove to Gosford today from Sydney, 200km round trip, "FN AWESOME". Never owned a car with technology, last new car was exactly 20 years ago & the techno on that one was electric windows & mirrors...yup that's all except a manual lumbar support on the drivers seat & a single disc CD player.
2 km from home, wouldn't you know it, another white GT in front of me (mine's white also) but different wheels.....felt like I was in a St George Taxi, peak hour at the airport!

So as of today we've clocked 1,024 km on the GT FB. I took my family to Caloundra for the weekend so a good 25% of those km were clocked over the past 48 hours. I have to say that these cars are so well suited to popping in 6th and cruising on the high way. We averaged 8.6 L/100 km both up and back. Comfy drive and a lot quieter (in terms of road noise) than the X-Trail we had.

Turns heads everywhere!

You mention you took your family so I assume that the back seat was used. If so I am interested in knowing how it went with passengers in the back seat.

We've had 4 adults in the vert - shorter legs (ladies) in the back, front needs to give up a bit but still ok for short to medium trips.

I'm 6' and have enough room when driving.

Cheers
