I ordered mine, magnetic 5.0 manual in march 2015 and I have been advised it is yet to get a VIN number and is on the books as landing on Australian shores on 28 Feb 2016.
We'll see if it does.

Hey same dealer at Rockdale, Con was my man who has since left. I am number 25. I initially went to I think Dominelli at Kirrawee and they were totally disinterested in helping me with enquiries to price and on roads etc. I darted across to Rockdale at about 5 pm and Con was absolutely terrific and I signed up there and then, back in March. Best thing I did.

Yup Con, the secretary told me he no longer worked there, not that he had left......when I signed & put down deposit October 2014, prices weren't available but in March he called, I went in & signed again an official contract & he told me I was #4. Edwin is much more focused but both are salesman so beware...

I hope you gave Kirrawee the message that you had placed an order with someone else

$63,180 for me but yet to be built. So adding the $2,500 to that would make it $10 short of the new price

Hi All,

Just got of the phone from my Ford dealer, my car has been pushed back to April build, whilst not happy about it, nothing I can do about it. Whilst chatting to him, he advised that Ford AU had completely missed the marketing demographic, they assumed it would be XR8 buyers chasing the mustangs, whilst apparently as quoted, a heap of young people have ordered them and not typical mustang buyers, a lot of lancer & WRX owners going into the mustangs who are not typical Ford buyers, which has caught them by surprise.

He confirmed you can pre trade your current vehicle now if your worried about lost value, by waiting to trade when your car arrives.

He also advised Ford has now released a body kit pack, and also a factory fitted supercharger performance pack, both with 3 year warranty.

of interest was his confirmation of the first boat docking now at Wollongong (Sat Tracking), and that he will have his first two cars in two weeks time....watch this this space.

That must be the same boat as ours - 18/12 arrival at Port Kembla.

I was renewing my mustang insurance with Shannons this morning and asked him to give me a quote for the eco convertible as well.

53 yo female driver, no demerits, no finance, garaged in regional nsw = $ 1053 per year.

It is categorised as "high performance" and priced accordingly apparently.

Will have to shop that one around a bit  :thud:

Cheers

 :evilone:
Did he mention how much the supercharger pack would add to the cost of the car?

No mention of the cost, and I was rushing to a telecom so couldn't chat any longer, suffice to say he was clear, no need to go anywhere else to get the body kit and performance upgrade kits. It didn't surprise me, as the aftermarket scene for these cars will become a fairly hot market I would imagine, especially if he is right in stating that a lot of Jap 4cyl car buyers are making the switch, they love aftermarket stuff.

Just wait till those youngsters get there hands on the blow off valves on the eco boost, and start changing them to get that stupid "High Frequency Pigeon sounding" turbo valve noise... :lmao:
