I made up brackets to fit my new personalised number plates  :pepper: since the old plates were just screwed on crooked and bent up to fit especially the front

I ordered brand new front brakes, pads ,drums. wheel cyclinders and springs yesterday as well as a dash matt to stop the glare from the the dash pad. Gotta make a start some where to get the old pony up to a better standard. :event:

Fitted a new exhaust on my S550 at my boys workshop (well I only watched, supervised & laboured)....Magnaflow Street...very happy & glad I didn't choose the "competition" system, street is quite a bit louder than stock. thanks to "EXHAUSTED" for his recommendation.
The original system was painted black & once removed, unveiled that it had been spray painted in situ as the top of the system was bare metal....guess that's what we can expect from a sausage factory....

Took the leaking brake master cyl off the 70 Mach 1 . What a crap job to do because it would not come off the booster studs because when you moved it a 1/4 of an inch it hit the tower    .  Its off and will be rebuilt this week I hope .

Installed my new (second hand - thanks Simon) Monte Carlo bar. Pretty much dropped straight in so seems my shock towers are more or less where the San Jose factory put them. Think I will have to cut the "ear" off the aircon compressor. Am I right in thinking torque movement of the engine will lift it on the left hand side?

Took my kids and the 65 on it's first Zippel cruise through the Adelaide Hills to a winery in McLaren Vale. Weather was perfect and there were classics and hot rods everywhere.

Drove out to Kandos to visit mate and family on Sunday - pretty good run in the old Tang. Must've been a do at Mudgee because there were several Classic vehicles travelling around the countryside. Hit the typical traffic queues at Mt Victoria/Blackheath returning to Sydney, but the old gal found the cold conditions more suitable than the recent hot weather. (Noticed it was idling rough when standing in traffic on only some occasions, so don't know what that was all about ... she probably had the shits with the bumper to bumper traffic!)

Waxed the wheels on the S550 to make cleaning the horrid brake dust easier

Left it parked safe and dry in the garage and took the wife's Mini Cooper S out for a few "warm" laps in the rain at the Euro day at Lakeside today :burnout:
