Photos of installed x-pipe and new exhaust tips. Sounds a lot better now, has that nice V8 growl sound and no drone. Took it for a drive after picking up from shop and car overheated. Fuse for the thermo fans melted causing fans to stop working, replaced fuse with a circuit breaker so all good now.

Tonight I am going to wash my stang it looks a little dirty. My Ex went to her families place for Christmas,I was not invited, I drove to Airley beach on the Thursday before Christmas, got there at about 11.30 from Rockhampton, Couldn't find a Moey to check into, Went to start the car and had a flat battery, Parked up at BP Proserpine til 8.30 AM, RACQ had told me I needed a new alternator belt. Got the belt from the hardware store and drove all the way home again in time to see the tail end of the car I bought my wife a year before driving down Yeppon Road, I haven't seen her since. 5 days without food. a total of about 25 hours sleep since I just couldn't give a flying F***k. People say it get's better, it has to, Is it true Mustangs are Chick magnets' ?

Don't need chicks but I hope my wife loves the car as much as I do, I have really pi**ed her off this time, she can have my Harley as well if she wants.

Been busy with the 66 over the holidays, have added a set of Jack Beedham extractors, had the front lowered by Kings down the coast and finally finished off the A/C and its now blowing ice cold :pepper:

Really stoked with the stance and the handling now - huge improvement!

Still a few things on the wish list just need to work on the $avings again!

What Did I do to the Mustang? I sold it!!

I did something that I thought I would never do, I passed it on to someone who will appreciate it more than I will.
Dont get me wrong, it was a fantastic car ( prepared by BIG AL's Mustangs NSW ) and I loved driving it, but time was the enemy.
The new owner is really happy with it.

I have a few spares that Im going to sell, including some 17x7 + 17x8 ShowWheels. I'll put them in the right section.
Only done 200km, bargain at $600 ( no tyres, no damage ).

Have thoroughly enjoyed my time here, hope to see a few of you in the paddocks.
Who knows, I might even buy another Mustang!!

Give me a yell if you would like the mags.
Cheers
John

Replaced the gearbox dipstick tube because the attachment bracket had broken off the old one. I now know that when you remove the old one and then have dinner , about a litre of fluid drains onto the garage floor.

Slowly working my way through all the little issues on my recently purchased 65.

Last night I hooked up the new headlights and relay, what a difference it makes to be able to see properly again.

Tonight I'm fitting my rebuilt heater, tomorrow night is the thermo fan, then thursday it's off for new pinion seal and finally a carby rebuild on Friday.

If all goes to plan, I'll be cruising on Saturday before the big clean and polish begins.

Stripped my 71 J code Cobra Jet Aust day LWE.
She's having her 45th birthday total rebuild top to bottom/ in and out this year.

Very pleased with the condition of the sheet metal - all FoMoCo dated.
Perfect floors.
Just some surface rust around the boot seal and some bog in the drivers door.
Should be a straightforward back to metal paint job.

Sportsroof had adjusted front wheel bearings, topped up the diff, welded up an exhaust bracket and gave her the once over for the Tassi trip  next weekend.   :fingerx:

A proper clean inside and out, driving it to work each day means its always dusty but the latest storms and living in a suburb full of building sites meant my car was more orange than green.
Rounded out the effort by ripping the dash apart and installing a set of blue LED replacement dash bulbs... oh so pretty.

Of course to balance this out I found the previous owner has wrapped a fuse in copper wire so now I need to replace that and no doubt find whats causing the voltage spikes :(
Fix one thing, start the next.

Pissed off the rubber caster bushes, replaced with super pro bushes and wheel aligned. On the short drive home it appears to have reduced the low speed wander. 300km drive to Tathra tomorrow should soon tell.
