Changed the Speedo cable since the speedo waivered quite a bit up to about 60k. Steady as a rock now

Mainly preparation time.
I cleaned all the old paint off with thinners.
Etch primed and repainted and clear coated.
Easy to do but time consuming.

put a chrome dress up kit on haha just  kidding, cleaning up the engine bay,  previous owner did a horrible job.

awesome tech tip,  if your to lazy to take the dizzy out like me and need to tape up round things,  aluminium foil wrapped around them saves alot of taping and time  :thumb: it conforms and holds it shape really well.

I just put a plastic bag over mine when I painted the engine, with a cable tie to hold it on and tape to keep the lines clean...

I bought a new air filter from Supacheap. my mechanic will have to modify it to get past the distributor. It should run better, I started with a small filter and it spluttered, I went to medium sizer and it roared but has a flat spot, the larger filter should allow it to breathe fully and make sure I completely wear my tyres out, creating large holes in the bitumen when I floor it.  :evilone:

Well this wasn't strictly done today but it was finished this afternoon. Heat and sound deadening on the floor pan, Vintage Air A/C installed and Dakota Digital Cruise control added to the instrument cluster network. Oh yes, while the seats were out had new seat upholstery installed as well.  :pepper:

My vert is at the mechanics, I'm having my battery cradle and surrounds repainted, as the old battery was leaking acid. While he's at it he will make the larger air filter fit.

Just checked my Decode sheet and realised that I missed a 50th birthday. Our coupe was built Feb 3 1965. Dont know why but I kept thinking it was May.

PS: If anyone is installing a Scott Drake HiPo alloy 24" radiator, you will also need a new upper radiator bracket and matching insulators. The old bracket will not fit unless bent and reshaped as the radiator is wider and a little shorter.

They are the Dynacorn 15 x 7.

I shrunk the photo too small but they do look good.

At $1,195 for 4 landed I'm pretty happy with them.

They look like alloy in the photo.

They are alloy, polished and painted matt black. Include low profile centre caps with just a blank emblem but they will fit one of the dashboard emblems I think
