Got the girl back from the brake specialist, now have good brakes  :pepper: after a full rebuild of the booster. This has been faulty from day one apparently as I have never had good brakes.

Picked up the beast from Prestige Auto Wiring in Bittern after having the engine bay tidied up, a new alternator installed, Halogen headlights fitted, fusible links put in together with an extra 4 way fuse box and a few other cosmetic changes. Chris has done a fantastic job. Highly recommended auto sparky.

Roller engines don't seem to wear out, moly rings from new and no microscopic bitts of flat tappet cam in the oil that slips through the filter I reckon also they always have the correct fuel mixture due to injection. The one with the forged pistons would be a HO engine.

Pulled the rad back out,so I could fit the ABS Hi-Po shroud I purchased from Big Al. Thanks Al.

Of course it didn't line up with the mounting holes,so off to bunnings for some aluminium angle line.

Also purchased an original 5 blade fan off eBay just waiting for it to arrive.

You need these Z brackets to fit the shroud to the radiator mounting bolts.

These ones.

http://www.drakeautomotivegroup.com/Store/Product/C3DZ-8149-3.aspx?wid=141

Thanks. I couldn't use them cause the shroud was a little wider in the middle so it ended up having a gap which i needed to close off. The angle worked well. You can just see the gap in the pic with shroud on the rad.

Well today was the cooling system test after fitting the 3.5 inch shroud. Works well in my opinion. I'm happy with the outcome.  :pepper:

After pulling the old fuel tank out a few weeks ago finally had time to install the new one. Tidied up the tail light wiring while I was in the trunk. Ran out of time to take it for a test run so hope it will be all good.  :smile01:

I did a bit of thinking about what mods I can do to the mechanicals (mostly suspension) to make it even better to drive..

Currently the lip of the driver's side wheel arch sit about 320mm from the center cap, the passenger side sits a full 20mm higher. The back sits a little bit higher than the front, but only a few mm..

I think I'd like to lose about 2" off the front and 1-1.5" at the back, so that the front tyres are tucked under the lip of the guards at the front and the rear tyres sit level with, or just below the lip.

I know the King Springs KFFL-0 or KFFL-59s seem to be a fairly popular choice, but a lot of people have V8s, my main concern about going down that path is that my 6 cylinder may not be heavy enough for me to get the results I'm after..... I think a bit of research is in order! :bolt:

Had a great Mustang weekend with both cars taken out so they could have a run as it has been a while since I had had the 66 out. Took the 66 vert to the Adelaide Auto Expo yesterday and today took the Boss for a drive to show someone that has wanted to see it in a while and went for a drive in his 430 Ferrari. A great day all up.

That looks awesome! It's amazing what a few cans of paint and some elbow grease can achieve!
The new motor looks great too..

Started it for the first time in a few weeks to take the young bloke to his year 6 farewell. Found a whole heap of tranny fluid on the floor underneath it, so off to the mechanic.

New limbs & joints, springs & Koni shocks....now complete & wheel alignment tomorrow. Also whilst on the hoist, C4 o/haul (leak), had extractors ceramic coated, rear main crankshaft seal replaced, new engine & tranny mounts, tranny oil cooler lines replaced, all reinstalled old parts painted, under guards painted.
My 2 sons opened a workshop early October, "Corey and Troy's Garage" @ Kingsgrove, so I wanted to be one of their first customers, PAYING customer I might add, but all to get them on their way.

Removed the musical air horns, wiring and switch from Mum's car, before testing to make sure they still work and then of course I proceeded to throw them away....... :bolt:
