Needed to replace one front spring saddle - the bush has worn out and rubbing metal on metal.  Will do both.  Been raining so might as well work on the old girl in the garage (no the Mustang ).  Shockies out - both good.  Grabbed Dad's spring compressors and tried them - too long so couldn't wind them up far enough to compress the spring enough.  Thought about cutting an inch off the threaded part of the compressors - decided Dad wouldn't be impressed.  Went to Supercheap to get my own that I'd cut if too long - $62 and they work a treat as is.  Springs out.  Do you think I can get the flamin' bolts undone that hold the spring saddle to the upper control arm!! :smash:  Then I realised the nuts undo from underneath - the bolts are fixed in place  :ouch:.  I suppose never been undone in 47 years.  Got the sh!7s and left it for tomorrow.  The joys of old cars  :lmao:

Spring saddle in (the old one was totally buggered - wearing through the metal), car back on the ground.  Took the export braces off to clean up as they had been painted over the original finish and the paint was peeling off.  Decided they'll look better chrome  :evilone:, so off they go tomorrow to the electroplaters.

Today I replaced the thermostat housing. What a nightmare that turned out to be. The thermostat didn't want to stay in place and as a result it kept leaking! All good now.

Lost oil pressure on the dash gauge , put mechanical gauge on her, 52psi at idle and she climbed as revs picked up, so swapped out the failed oil sender for a new one, and dash gauge s now functioning sweet.

Swapped out the 6inch styled steel wheels for 7inch, with 215 tyres all round, loving it.

Another shot, still thinking of adding the white wall, perhaps you can photo shop the white wall onto the wider tyres for me, so I can see what it looks like, but only a small white wall, like it used to have, as seen in my avatar.

Fixed my passenger seat...
The bolts for the track came loose, and the seat had to be removed to bolt them back on, before re-installing the seat.
Quick and easy job, but not one I really wanted to have to do... All good now though! :smilies:

Actually took the Seducer for a lunch run with members from Sydney. Newcastle and the Central Coast. First time I've been able to drive her since having the shoulder done. Felt good swapping the gears and giving her a bootfull up Ourimbah Hill.
Nice lunch with about 20 other members.

Did the Seducer get wet Norm? Was going to join you, but the rain clouds kept me at bay.

She got wet but does when she gets washed anyway. Got a good chamois when we got home. Now nice and dry under its cover. Ready for Bunnings on Saturday.

Changed the oil and filter, washed the air cleaner (will re--oil it tomorrow), adjusted the rear brakes, gave her a good grease and hopefully fixed a couple of small oil leaks by tightening down the rocker covers.  :pepper:
