more like WHAT IT DID TO ME...
overhauling rear drums this arvo and attempted to release a brake shoe spring, slipped and opened my thumb joint up big time on the nicely sharp wheel arch lip.
there was more claret on the floor than a wine press and game over for the day.
the bastard bit me good dammit....
Oh no Greg...Looks like your out of action for the week  :therethere:

Fitted a cowl cover to my '66, now let's see the pine needles get in

Will also help to keep any water leaks out (none so far) despite 2 inches of rain  :pepper:

Also got windscreen sealed, hope that is the end of the leak.

It hurt me just reading that, so many of my parts were sharp while I am restoring my Mustang, I don't understand why they do not blunt the edges. Keep it clean until it heals.
1967 Mustang Convertible with fries and the works, hold the rust, no timber thank you, go easy on the Bondo and I'll have that in Right Hand Drive please.

Went for a drive. Nice day today in Melbourne. All going well until the new battery started leaking/spraying liquid and motor would not start. Spending more time diagnosing problems then enjoying...

Drove it out of the garage under its own power for the first time in over 6 years, drove it down around the corner into the Cul-de-sac spun it round and parked it in the truck bay, I am sure the neighbors love me as it is running straight out of open headers but it was only just off idle as it needs a tune big time.
Pulled a couple of storage cupboards from behind it and put them in the wifes shed and gave me more room for the mustang and less chance of getting damaged.
Fired it up again and put it away.
Probably should have given it a bath while it was out but I will wait untill I have had the car cover cleaned I think.

Dropped by 25mm in front and 38mm in the rear; new front springs and engine immobiliser installed; new sump; inlet gasket and a few other electrical adjustments. Now to go for a drive to see how she handles.

Not driving anywhere today, apart from  :rain:  in Sydney, went down to the basement to check on the coupe and the back tyre is flat as a tack. At least I found out the original jack is in the car (article in this months Mustang Monthly) and that it works OK. Will get the tyre repaired during the week.

Today I got it tuned, it ran 285rwks but wasnt getting enough fuel, so new pump and a bit more timing im hoping for 300 rwkws,  also remove front wheel to get some new treads on monday, then book in for wheel alignment.
Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an 67, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on MOCA, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car...................

My brake lights were a little dim, so replaced the tail light housings as they were rusty, one of the tail light lenses was cracked so replaced both with new Ford Tooling replacement lenses and changed all the gaskets and rubber pads plus new globes. Looking good, brake lights are nice and bright.

Also replaced the dodgy headlight dimmer switch. :smile01:

Didn't think that the single globe that lights the tail/brake lights was good enough for such a big lens, so upgraded them to some 'bat wing' LED's. Made a huge difference, really bright.

http://www.mustangproject.com/ProductDisplay.aspx?ID=e9d8f43c-0365-4e82-a5d7-4b7387c201ec

While I was at it replaced the tail light housings as the base had just about rusted through, one of the lenses was cracked so got a couple of new Ford Tooling replacement lenses and changed all the gaskets and rubber pads. Looking good.

Also replaced the dodgy headlight dimmer switch. :smile01:

Andrew,

I found an old thread which linked to http://autolumination.com/1156_1157.htm about led bulbs. I am looking at some leds for my car, and are as per the pics. The first is both white with parkers on and turns to amber when indicating, so you keep your clear lense. The second is for the brake light.

not much really as its in the shop but I did watch "Married with Children - Have you driven a ford lately" (1987).  I watched this episode when I was 9 years of age and it was the first time I fell in love with the pony.
