I'm hoping someone here can help me out with the wood grain around the instrument cluster and the panel above the glove box (must have clock but not bothered if it doesn't work).
As this is my first Mustang I'm a little bit clueless about fitment of these parts. Are they just straight swap parts or do they need a little more work to get them to fit? The previous owner of the car didn't bother refitting any Mach 1 stuff besides the seats so the car has the standard Mustang dash and doors.

Is it possible the car was originally a sportsroof, not a Mach 1? If the door trims are standard Mustang, then it's a distinct possibility.

I've got all mine out at the moment. Let me know if you want any or as many photos as you'd like. :thumb:

Whole non-tach clusters with the wood grain are not too expensive. It's the ones with a tach that are. If you find a good priced tach cluster, let me know and I'll sell you my non-tach one :smile01:

I don't have the Marti report but the door tag says 63C. According to the seller he bought the car as a bare shell so he didn't have the original trims. The price paid reflected this and I knew from the start the car still needed money spent. He seems to have done a great job on the body but has done a bit of a slap job on some of the finishing. I'm guessing he just rushed it to sell. Incorrect interior, no 9" (Matt sourced and fitted one while he still had the car), no seatbelts and I think he just threw a mixed bag of screws at the car. Washer bottle is fitted but no pump, hoses or jets...... the list goes on. I don't mind playing around with the fiddly bits though as most of it can be done after reg.

Barry.... will get some photos up shortly but it sounds likely the dash will need to be replaced. Damn.

The woodgrain Dash looks the part - imo especially with the Dakota Digital Dash. After trips from Adelaide to Melbourne and Newcastle, i can tell you the digital readout is superb!

The above photo came out a bit blurry on the side gauges, but in reality they are all crystal clear.

Thanks Mark. Best upgrade to the Grande yet.

We ordered the TCP Rack and Pinion today. Can`t wait to fit it up and go for a nice long cruise again.

Seats are correct Glenn. Was looking to replace all incorrect interior items. I already have some bits and pieces for the doors (including brand new door cards) but want to wait until I have the dash sorted incase the trims don't match.

Thanks for the links. Don't like the look of the woodgrain on the second ones though. It's a shame the first link doesn't have the woodgrain.

Rocket, I l ike the look of yours but I guess I still need the Mach 1 stuff to begin with and retro fit those gauges.

Not real sure if it's a 69 or 70 dash, wouldn't surprise me if it is the wrong year though.
I'm fairly sure 63C means your car is a Mach 1.

63 c is mach 1 ,in 69/70 . .63 A or 63B  are fastbacks .1969 should have plate on door as well to decode all numbers a 70 has a decal ,both on drivers door .

Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong but is the Shelby sportsroof not designated 63C aswell? What about the Boss 429? They all have the same deluxe interior appointment.
Maybe you have a B9 there Pete.....:smile01::smile01:
