And what area of Australia would you like to get it from? Might be a good idea to let this forum know roughly your own state &  city !!!

I live in south Australia. But am willing to go anywhere for the right car! Let's face it, it's not a long drive to anywhere in Australia! :P

I have looked into all of the laws regarding Lhd, and you are right, SA make it very hard to register them. So RHD would be more preferrable, but I will look at LHD if any are available. And preferrably around 20-25k is my limit.

This is the second time I have seen it go through. It sold for $22100 last time.

would have been perfect!!! i wonder why it has passed through twice, may have had something that was tough to repair. Or they genuinly needed the money.
but something like that is perfect!!

I'd say the first time the typical ebay bidder was the culprit to it not selling. You know the one who wants it and bids but then their grandmother got sick and their gold fish swallowed a bone only to find out minutes later their bank was just victim to the GFC and lost all their savings on them.

Can I interest you in a 69 Mach 1 for $27000? No trans but has about $5000 worth of spares.

Brand new Magnum 500's and BF Goodrich tyres

It's in Adelaide :thumb:

You could look at getting one from the States, but by the time you pay for the car, shipping, GST etc etc.....
And then, you can't be sure of what you are actually getting....could be a rust bucket prettied up as a princess.
You might be better off finding one already here at the right price.
Good luck with your search.

The mach 1 is a nice car, but am after a fastback to do a gt500 conversion!
I did see some bloke in america doing fastback/eleanor coupe conversions, clean panel, rolling body, on that mustangonlyone site. for 18,000 and 9,000 respectively. Has anyone had an experience with these?

I doubt you'll get one of those conversions through the import approval as it has been modified.

Sammy, I haven't read too much about it, but I think they have put a stop on importing modified classics?.. so anything like an Eleanor etc into the country. Please correct me if I'm wrong fellas.
If you're looking at overseas, your best bet is to get a project car or one that is standard with no modifications as possible.....bring it in, and get the resto or modifications done here.
Personally, not from experience but what I've read, the yanks resto standards are different than ours. Most, over there, would be happy with bog or as they call it bondo, all over the car. Definitely not something we like over here.

And I would probably want something to work with! ie, engine or interior!
There would be plenty of work involved in restoring something like that!!

Try this one on for size only problem is a little more than 25k. Looks like a great clean car though.

Sometimes you are better off spending the extra twenty on something decent like this rather than buying something for twenty and then finding out you have spent forty on it anyway.
