I know the feeling
But there is nothing better than seeing the doors open and the pony's coming out of the Container.

Well after almost six months of waiting

Six months???? How have you managed to wait so long? I've been waiting 6 weeks and I'm going crazy. Do you have a thread around here of the car you bought?

Have been really busy so the time has gone fast the car was purchased 21st Oct 2011, and then as you are all aware you wait for the import approval, then wait for consolidation, then wait for transportation, then wait for customs clearance!

Here is a couple of the images from the previous US owner:

I like that. The car looks good, but also looks very "bad". Enjoy.

You South Australians are 8% of the population but seem to punch above your weight with nice cars.

Last Friday I received a delay notice from the freight company advising the car had been unloaded at Melbourne!
You can imagine my surprise as my customs broker had advised it had been unloaded in Adelaide, up to then all shipping docs had discharged port Adelaide.

After a few emails yes it had been unloaded in VIC with finial discharge now in Adelaide on 3rd April.

So all going well (and that really does not happen to me) this coming Thursday it may be released but Easter is looming so thinking it will be after that.

What can you do but wait
:banghead:

Oh no!!

Unfortunately you are right, nothing you can do at all but wait. Mine arrived over a long weekend as well and it too was delayed.

I wish I could give an update on the arrival of my 69 however STILL WAITING!
Now waiting on quarantine inspection, it's been in Adelaide port two weeks (tomorrow)

This process is killing me!

Anyone with bolt cutters I can borrow!

Will it ever end!

Just spoken with my customs agent.
The car failed its quarantine inspection  so now is sitting waiting to be cleaned this is not expected to happen until the end of next week.

NOT HAPPY

Bugger! So frustrating for you.

We had similar issues when we imported directly to Adelaide, so all of our cars are now shipped to Melbourne and we drive over with the car trailer to bring them home. A lot less hassle that way, and heaps quicker.

You can only grin and bear it. Of course the car must be reinspected after the cleaning, therefore you will not see the car until about Wednesday week.

Feel for you.
