We arrived in Geelong about 5.15pm after a peaceful, relaxing drive. No problems whatsoever along the way - other than roadworks everywhere.

Very nice rooms at the Mercure.

Did not take many photos today, but will post a few later. Missus is dragging me off to the shops for supplies.

Have a great trip over Michael :thumb:

Don`t take the wrong turnoff like we did. Ended up stuck in traffic through the centre of Ballarat for about half an hour. We turned off the main highway into Ballarat too soon. It was the old " Avenue of Honor " Rd. Should have taken the next turnoff which is the Midland Highway.

Some photos from today`s trip over -

Arrived at Tailem Bend about 7am. Not many cars there at that stage. Of particular interest is Kym T`s new rig. Titanium Territory Turbo Diesel, new car trailer with custom hood at front carrying the freshly restored 64.5 Coupe -

Impressive setup Kym!

Dale was there -

Check the number plate on this Mustang, then the sticker on the back window -

If you cannot quite read the sticker - it reads " Grumpy".

Garry and Christine left their gorgeous 68 Fastback at home and drove over in their FG GT. What a stunner! -

Some shots from our first refueling stop at Keith -

As the day wore on more Mustangs met up with us and we had quite a convoy -

When ya gotta go - ya gotta go. Problem was there were no trees around. Well there are trees in the background, but they are much further away than they look. Have to improvise -

   Sprung big time Jeremy!

Another easy, quiet start to the day. Went sightseeing around the Bellarine Peninsula. Lovely place.

Things are starting to warm up now. A lot more Mustangs have arrived and the car park is starting to buzz -

Second South Aussie crew arrived about 4 o`clock but Michael  (chopmgw) was not with the group. He arrived a short time ago -

Apparently the SA crew left Tailem Bend earlier than planned at 6.30am. Michael arrived at Tailem Bend at 6.45 and thought he must be early. He waited till 7.30 before he realized they must have already left! Bugger!

Still, he said it was a most enjoyable cruise. :smile01:

I have started a photobucket album for the Nationals. Link -

Things will be ramping up now. Off to our first function.

Hi Sally/Chris, We have woken to grey skies this morning. Forecast is for the occasional shower, easing late this afternoon.

The Concourse  guys will not be happy.  Mustangs are all sitting in the open car park but will be moved to the secure car park after breakfast which is undercover. Hope the rain holds off till then.

Place was rocking last night. I think there will be a few sore heads this morning!

There was a very loud blue going on between a couple on our floor last night. Not Mustang people thankfully. Her language would make a wharfie blush. She continued banging on a door and yelling at 1 am this morning. Hope security kick the trollop out this morning :kickass:

Off to breakfast. More later.

Hi Barry - Thanks mate.

It is getting wet in Geelong right now -

Clouds are rolling through very quickly so lets hope it dries out.

Just had a delicious hot breakfast. Everybody is in good spirits, even those who may have had a bit too much to drink yesterday, although Brett has not surfaced yet.

Manager came over to have a chat about the noisy buggers who were fighting last night. He has since turfed them out. Everybody on the Third and Fourth floor say good riddance!

Some very special Mustangs in the car park, especially 2 from Tasmania. If it stops raining I will go and take some photos.

Sally, After a showery, windy morning it has become fine and sunny, although I can see some threatening cloud in the distance. The cars were moved to the secure car park so I dare say the owners have been busy cleaning them all day. It is fairly quiet here at the Mercure.

My plans for the day were to be in the car park sinking a few cold ones. But Michelle had other ideas so we went sightseeing to Barwon Heads and Torquay instead. :smash:

Will try to sneak off to the car park shortly to grab some photos.

Up bright and early today so that I could get some photos of the Concourse cars as they left for Judging at 7am.-

Yep.... all three cars! At last nights Meet and Greet Dinner the organisers clearly stated cars for Concourse Judging should line up out the front for 7am departure, but obviously some people are hard of hearing. Oh well.... I will head down to the Judging area to get some more photos later.

Here are some photos of a few cars taken at random this morning -Love this first one -

Chrome Shaker -

More later.

Hi Guys, Thanks for the kind words and yes... everybody is having a ball.

Yesterday the interstaters went to the You Yangs proving grounds. They were told beforehand to observe all protocols like no cameras, no speeding around the track etc . But the Ford people invited them to go a little quicker once there. Here is Brads speed -

A bit quicker than 80klms/hr  There were a lot of cars that went faster than that! :thumb:

The theme at last nights dinner was 60s rock and roll -

Brad went a step further and went as a penguin

Penguins are water creatures, so he went for a swim -

Skies are looking blue at Geelong this morning. Looks like it will be a terrific day.
Off to the display shortly.

Hi Sally, Just back from Display Day.

We had lots of tickets in the raffle for the 66 Coupe. The lucky winner was John Bailey from Reservoir, Victoria.  :thumb:

It was a superb day with light winds and mostly sunny. I reckon there were about 350 Mustangs on Display.

Awards night tonight. Our fingers are crossed.

Congratulations to all, but Rocket, Is it a good idea to boast about breaking the 100 k speed limit and doing 174 k, you may put the Victorian visit later in the year in jeopardy ?
