Holy crap. Always worth saving! Take my hat off to you mate. Some serious injuries over time to that car! Some people would just throw their hands in the air and say, too hard!?....keep posting pics. The guys on this forum are very supportive of anyone doing what you are. Good on you mate, it will be worth it!

Started blocking out the stripes and getting everything nice and smooth , started with 800 grit to remove the ridge , then re cleared and rubbed out with 2000 grit to make it nice and flat . I have only hand buffed at this stage but happy with the out come.
Also fitted the tail lights which was pretty straight forward , the same cant be said fitting the repo trim on the repo qtr extension think i measured about bloody fifty times before drilling the mounting holes hopefully have got it right.

Not too much has happened since the last update had to build a sundeck ! but have managed to complete the rear end . What a nightmare fitting the trim and the bumper . The trim was terrible cause its aluminium and its repo and i was learning as i went . when go to push the trim on over the clip the back of the trim is to long and just folds back on itself . ended up having to file down where each of the clips go in so it could snap on  :ouch:
And dont talk to me about bumpers gees ! i tell ya the rubber mallet got a good work out  :smash: had to roll the ends in to get some where looking like it fits over it all now close enough for me .

atleast i can sit on the deck now which is on the side of the shed drink beer and feel sorry for myself when it all turns to crap through that timber door

That trim must be so frustrating, especially with fresh paint.

Nice to see a bit of bling on there.
I know exactly what u mean about the repro trim, having been there myself.
Just persevere.
U will forget all about it when ur cruising . :burnout:
