Yeah, it only flashes to 4300rpm on the launch, at the moment.
If I stall it up at the moment, to 2000rpm or so, it's slower. It stumbled on the last 10.97 run, as I left from idle. Normally, I leave from 1000 - 1500rpm.
with the 3.50 diff ratio, I don't really want to go much higher in the stall speed, to keep it happier on the road.
After looking at the pics from the weekend, I notice mine is a lot flatter on the track than the others, I think the red car and smokem are running 90/10's in the front too.

Was a great event, thanks Ian!!

I know mine has an 11.1 in it if I have my converter changed from 4500 to 5500 rpm but I'm not going there as I think it is going to make it more lethal on the street.
You really have to be careful feeding the throttle with converters this high stall.
I think the line between race and street is approaching.

The rule of thumb is one tenth saved to 60 foot is 2 tenths over the 1/4.
If you dropped to 1.50 60 feet there is probably a 10.7 there.

mmm.... maybe some suspension aids are in the works!

But your right.... I always want mine to be a street car. I actually want to concentrate on making it nicer to drive, you know, Power Steer, Heater, Stereo etc etc...

I have to say, it's cool to see cars like yours, very subtle.... Styled Steels, stock bonnet etc etc running in the low 11's!!!

My brother is a bad influence..... I have a 203 69 Vert coming....

He tells me I should put my motor in  the vert, and build up a turbo 302 or 331 stroker, or even build an aftermarket block 380ci small block... along the lines of Georges blue XR.... Then I could reach the spark plugs easily!

You have a seriously quick street car there Steph.
The bigger stall would definitely send it down quicker as there big gains for you in the 60 foot area.
Personally I'd settle for the 10 you have and leave it driveable.

For further kicks it's probably best having a race only car.

I'd like to give MEAN67 (sorry I forgot your name) congrats too. First time out and a 12,2 is bloody good. I can honestly say my first few goes weren't low 12's.
It's not as easy as it looks.

Congrats Steph on running in the 10s.

And as you say I was also impressed with Blue Oval's car in that it looks totally stock, no scoops or anything to give it away.

Cheers,
Frank.

:cool::cool:
Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an 67, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up.  I can't see you stopping at 12.07.

It was good to talk to you again. I wanted to talk more with

Here's a few links to photos of the day.
I can't quite work out how to have the photos display here ?
There are some more if anyone is interested.
Also wanted to mention that Gasolene was filming for it's
show on CH31 for an upcoming episode.

Last one is for you Steph

 I got interviewed as well.
He didn't say when it would be broadcast though.
Better record it for a few weeks.

Now that I think about I was wondering about that 32 convertible that did a few runs - was a green colour.
It had a couple of runs against the purple Fiat Bambino.

Did that have a roll cage ? I didn't think you could run a vert down the drag strip.

Cheers,
Frank.

the Fiat Topolino?

I think there is a time cutoff for verts without roll bars.

It raced against the Topolino. Was a 32 Deuce I think.

I can't remember what it ran.

Cheers,
Frank.
