They are still taking 6 weeks.  I sent mine in Wed 10th Nov.  Rang them 6 weeks later on Wed 22 Dec and was advised it had just been processed and would be "ïn the mail" later that day.  Actually got it on Friday 24 Dec in the post.

Same here, sent mine 15th November and got it the Tuesday after Christmas. They really need to look at speeding this process up as it is costing a lot of people a lot of money to store cars that are waiting for approvals before shipping, especially for those of us who are playing by the rules.

I just read your other post, your car's only a few weeks away? I hope your approval comes through OK, you'll have everything crossed!! Best of luck, you should just make it.

Mine was sent in the day before yours and was processed on the last day before Christmas, so yours should have been done this week (assuming they're back from holidays).  Might be worth giving them a call if you have not done so, l've found in the past they are usually helpful on the phone as long as you don't pester them too frequently.

I could hear the sigh of relief from here! Actually I just rang them, so to save anyone else doing it, they are up to processing applications from the 22nd November 2010. Quite a backlog.

I sent mine via email with all photo`s and stuff on 5/Nov. They faxed me 14/Dec wanting more details(Got the VIN number wrong). They took money from my bank account 16/Dec. I went on holidays. Got back 19/Jan, nothing in the mail. Rang them and lo and behold they had a mix up and would get the approval in the mail ASAP. Hopefully next week.................SHeeeeeez!!

I have about 15 cars waiting on approvals at the LA end and I must admit, I havent seen such a back log since 1999/2000.

The problem is, if they go through the process of putting on more staff while there is a high volume of cars coming through (due to the exchange rate) and then the dollar drops and it all goes back to a normal volume of cars waiting for approval, they now have 2-4 extra goverment employees sitting around pulling their puds

It is frustrating but you must admit, eveytime you ring them, their nice fellas. I allways seem to get Matt when I call however I have been trying to call from Florida for 5 days straight now in regards to 3 cars that should of had the approval weeks ago (even with the 45 days quoted) and all I get is message machine and when you listen to the whole message, it says "this inbox is FULL"

It is frustrating but its just how its rolling at the moment, you just have to accept it and move forward.

Sent on the 5/11/10. They received on 9/11/10. They processed payment on 16/12/10. They approved on 31/1/11. I received in the mail today.

Thats 13 weeks.  Anyone beat that??

With the amount of cars coming in now has seen the price of cars fall in Australia. Alot of cars are not selling because of the dollar and an over supply of mustangs. Anyone else felt the pinch.

I just got off the phone to see how they were going. I put mine in on the 31st of Jan, it was posted out yesterday the 22nd of Feb. Payment was taken from my account the day before on the 21st of Feb. I should hopefully have it in the mail tomorrow.

So 22 for it to be processed, much sooner then I had expected!

Maybe the rush of the dollar boom is over or the extra staff they apparently put on has caught up on the back log a bit? What ever it is I'm stoked!

I rang up to see where they were up to, I was thinking maybe mid Jan. I thought I'd have a minimum of 2 weeks to go but then he said it should be close to getting done. He then checked and said it was already posted out. I nearly fell off my chair! I got straight on the phone to the exporter and it will now be packed into a container in the next couple of days. Hopefully 4 weeks or so it should hit our shores :smile02:
