Ash, are you kidding - only 22 days???:omg:

And that's not even 22 business days. I think Ash just set a new record.

i think maybe with the office fans on high because of the hot weather all the applications before yours got blown off the table and into the bin... leaving yours on top, finished early, and everyone elses delayed!

i hope you buy a lotto ticket! and use the winnings from that to pay for your fees upon arrival!

Anybody else submit one in Jan?
They should even be a couple of weeks into Feb now as well you would think.

In an unusual twist, I checked my visa account and they processed the fee the day after I submitted my app. (about two weeks ago now). So there goes the theory that they process the payment at about the same time they approve the application. Unless I just set two new records:
1. Application approved in one day
2. Slowest post ever, as I haven't received it yet.

That is strange, I was told to watch the bank account as they would charge the card the day before it gets posted out and to notify the exporter when I see the charge occur so they could start loading it into a container. What happen to you would screw them up in this case.

I submitted my application on 15th Feb and the fee was charged to my CC yesterday.  Do I dare hope that the approval is in the post? That would be 17 days.

Give them a call on Monday to find out. You may even get it on Monday.

I don't call them unless it's getting ridiculously late or there's obviously something wrong. I figure they're that snowed under as it is they can do without the phone calls.

I agree ponyride - I've been trying to practice patience and not phone them all the time checking on import approval and not ring every day checking on the new roof.  It just distracts people from the task at hand.

Good things come to those that wait :smile01:

(..but I will be going straight to the letterbox when I get home on Monday...)

Congrats - that's a great looking car you've got.

The waiting isn't easy - mine just reached China today so there's one month until it gets here.
