How old were you when
« on: July 14, 2010, 07:24:53 pm »
Hi everyone I am just wondering how old you were when you bought your first Mustang and what was it?
I bought a 70 coupe 302w back from LA when I was 20.
If you don't want to share age it would be great to know what it was

Bought my 70 FB in 2007 when I was 46.

Maybe of more interest - how old were you when your Mustang was new ? I was 9 in 1970. I guess some of us would be still but a twinkle in their fathers eyes .. or grandfathers eyes ...

70Coupe, we dont actually know how old you are ! if you bought it back in 70, then you are 60. If you bought it back this year , then you are only still 20 ! You have skillfully obfuscated your age !

Cheers,
Frank.

haha JT!

My 66 is 11 years older than me. I bought it in 2005, so I was 28 (I think).

Not my first classic though, I have steadily bought older cars! All mainly XA-B-C Falcons, Fairmonts, GS's, GXL's, Fairlanes and LTD's, oh, and a 68 Mazda 1800

Anybody remember the TV series called " Hunter "?

Hunter drove a Mustang in the series. As a boy aged about 10 at the time, i decided to get one when i could. Only took 40 more years - but certainly worth the wait.:yellowpepper:

Seems 15 is the youngest so far - well done JT ! I was happy to have 10-speed bike at 15 (no 27 speeds yet!).

I think Moffat in his 69 Boss sold me.

Who's the oldest ?

Cheers,
Frank.

Got my first Shelby 66 fastback when I was 8yo. Was a Scale electic slot car. Took until 3 years ago till I got around to getting a proper one. Had a nice 56 Tunderbird too. Still looking for that one too.

Let's just say - I lost my virginity more than 30 years ago....wish now the prize for loosing it was a stang, just a pity I had to wait another 30 years after the event to be able to afford my stang --- must be just a late comer but at least I'm a stayer!!
