Very nice car mate

Interesting how it has 1 of 4085 with the "GT equipment group " which is the same as mine which is a mach 1...i wonder how many true GTs there are if there is Mach 1s included in the "GT equipment group" stats

Very nice, GT without colour code mirrors, don't see many 9's with chrome mirrors.
Go the 69's:(

:fThanks for all your comments Guys,I've been waiting patiently since Mid Dec for it and my other imports being a 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air 2 door with the rare factory power pack engine and 87,000 original miles and a 1968 R/T 440 Dodge Charger original owner with original 78,000 miles.
;2
My 1969 Ford Mustang GT 351 4 bbl,is finished in a rare factory correct colour "Winter Blue" with correct Black Clarion Knit Vinyl Bucket seats,3.25 rear axle ratio, 3 speed transmission,GT equipment group, and power steering. It recently underwent a meticulous frame off rotisserie restoration.

The GT option in 1969 was unusual, as it really didn't include much at all, so you had to option everything from there. The body buck tag next to the right hood hinge reads GT equipment group, just as early 69 Mach-1's had GT on that tag as Ford were going to call them 'Super GT's' before naming them Mach-1's. So,it's hard to really say exactly how many true GT's (like mine) really exist in the world. If anybody knows any further information ,please post.
The GT equipment group consisted of
Non-functional hood scoop with integrated turn signals
Pin style hood locks
Styled steel wheels in either argent or chrome with
stainless steel trim rings and GT center caps.
Heavy duty (competition) suspension, including a 7/8"(351, 390) or 15/16" (428) front sway bar , heavy duty front and rear springs, and heavy duty front and rear shocks
Pop open gas cap with GT logo. The 69 GT gas cap is unique in that it was the only year to incorporate the cog or gear pattern around the GT logo(very rare and hard to find item now)
Dual exhaust with notched cutouts in the rear valance and chrome tipped quad outlets with rolled ends
GT stripes running between the front and rear wheels and across the bottom of the doors
E70-14 wide oval belted tires with raised white lettering
351-2V (H code), 351-4V (M code), 390-4V (S code),428-4V (Q code) or 428-4V Ram Air (R code) engine.
The introduction of the Mach I proved to be the death of the Mustang GT, and 1969 became the last year of the GT for many years to come.

They are 3 Dropdead Gorgeous cars.

Congratulations.

I can`t get over the detail in the Engine Bay on the 69 GT Sportsroof.

Hope you bring the car to the Nationals. Would be great to get a close up look at it!

Wrong place to say this, but I loove that Charger.

Violet64 some strange coincidences here:

Firstly I looked very closely at the Mustang GT you bought several times but I bought a Mach 1 instead. It and a 69 GT350 are due in at Fremantle on the 9th March, two days before yours and I'm hoping they'll be "out" by the 19th March for my birthday, two days before yours!

I hope all goes well with the toys.

Happy birthday to us. :f

My toys Violet64. With apologies to those who've seen them before.

70 Mach 1. Not a full concourse job like your GT but a very fine restoration.

69 Shelby GT350.
