MUSTANG

Actually, looking at the lettering across the rear of it, it is only a "MUST NG"...  :+

Customs must have broken a record with clearing the container as it was off-loaded from the ship in Fremantle last Wednesday, x-rayed and given the tick over the weekend and moved to the depot for AQIS yesterday... Gotta say I'm impressed given the stories read on this forum with other member's experiences...

Anyways, here it is awaiting AQIS inspection. Got a bit of a backlog awaiting cleaning at the moment so may take up to a week if AQIS want it cleaned (most likely) but inch by inch the transit is nearly complete.

Cheers,
Mike

Kewdale / Welshpool - that would be pretty much right there nassi! Lee and Sheridan have been a terrific help with all of this and made it so easy...

Hmmm... might have to give the financial controller access to edit it though as her idea of "my plans" could differ somewhat!!!  :w

Well all I can say is - all the best with that. I hear it can be a bit hit and miss at times but it seems that "my guys" (Lee and Sheridan) got them on a good day and it all just went really smoothly for them (me)...

I have probably just jinxed myself with AQIS now though :+
Cheers,
Mike

Hi there Rock...

It was loaded onto the MSC Judith on the 11th Jan in Long Beach.

Came via Hong Kong and Singapore changing ships each time.

Arrived in Fremantle last Wednesday 17th Feb.

I'm sure they won't mind me giving them a plug now, it was Lee and Sheriden - they operate as Import Perfections here in Perth. 2 very decent and friendly people there doing a great job.

EDIT: I originally had another guy (whom I located another car for) that promised the world with cheap as chips rates and got absolutely nowhere... after about 2 1/2 months waiting on him I decided to take care of it myself and touched base with Lee and Sheriden. They actually managed the shipment from Hawaii to Long Beach first up however I just mentioned the LA to Frem leg above for obvious reasons.

The irony of this other car with the other guy is that I am now coordinating his move from Hawaii to Long Beach (getting a title first - ably assisted by Shermatt)
Cheers,
Mike

I think I remember from one of your other posts who you are using. Maybe a backlog, shortage of containers, priorities - who knows! Maybe it's that my guys are local here and have a different set of contacts they deal with as opposed to a US based company

Got anyone you can talk to to get some answers?? It does seem a little odd for a company like that to be so tardy. Not sure if anyone else on here would have a personal contact there - I'll leave it to you to post the name if you see fit. I don't want to be seen to be flaming anyone...

Cheers,
Mike

There are a few that touch on it but I think often some are not so keen to divulge how much they are "really" spending... :+

Perhaps I will take a look at it all when all is said and done and post it up for others to work from.
Cheers,
Mike
