I was just browsing some paint charts i have for mustangs and noticed the colour acapulco blue. A common enough colour for mustangs in 68 and 69, but i always thought it was a much darker blue almost royal blue.

i have attached a scan of the paint codes for the 69 mustang

Acapulco blue metallic is listed for 1968. but that to looks like pastel (light) blue. every other year from 64 to 93 don't list acapulco blue.

I had a similar problem recently being told my 67 was Acapulco Blue (it's original colour) but when the Body shop mixed up some paint for me using the Acapulco Blue formula it looked nothing like the car. The car is a darkish blue but the paint mixed was heap's lighter. Got it sorted out in the end just by colourmatching the car. The paint was only to re-paint under the hood so it wasn't to important to match exactly
