G'day,
Moving to Brisbane from the States (Hawaii) next year, and want to bring my 2004 Mach 1 along (can't bear to part with her). Appreciate the info on your website, we have a Mach1Registry website back in the states and have gotten a lot of good gouge belonging to the club, not having to make the same mistakes others made!
Looks like I'll have to convert to RHD from LHD when I get to Queensland, unless anyone knows anyway out of it (obviously an 04 model doesn't fall under classics for quite a few years!). Having to learn to shift left-handed will suck, but I'll get used to it, no worse than learning to drive on the left I suppose! Just to warn you guys in case you see a blue Mach driving around Brisbane on the wrong side of the road, there's a crazed Yank driving it, LOL.
Looks like Crossover may be my best bet from what you all have said - also conveniently in Queensland, so I'll try and contact them. Does any one who's done a RHD conversion know approx how much it costs (not cheap I know), also looking at the gov websites looks like I'll have about a 15% tax (based on my purchase price, modifications etc). If anyone had any tips please post, or you can reach me at e-mail: leeds@chosin.navy.mil. Thanks Mates! Look forward to meeting some of you when I move, won't be until late 2006 though.
