Hi Rick,
I'll be around as well, will be working but very close to the docks.
Do you know the name of the vessell as I watch the boats as they come past my office window.

Tim, I have one of those portable jumper units if you don't have one that you can borrow.

Cheers, Geoff

G'day Rick,

I should be back in Melb. Aus. by that date, if not somethings gone seriously wrong here in R.S.A.
Hopefully my GT will be coming in around that date as well via roro.
I'm local melb. suburbs so also happy to pick you up from the airport and help out technicaly to get you where you are going.
3rd of Feb being a Wed might reduce the ammounts of guys available but my hand is up to help out ;{

Don't forget a 7 day unreg vehicle permit from VicRoads if you plan to drive it to the Spirit of Tassie.

Rick,

don't know if you have checked or not but is the Spirit of Tasmania happy with trade plates on a car. You might want to suss that out due to insurance reasons on the boat.

Vic & Tas permit is okay as I have checked before but trade plates may differ.

You can get a Vic permit for 1 -28 days you chose how many you want.

When I took mine on the boat I gave them the Us rego number, but they used that as a reference, they wanted a permit on the day!

Rick,
If your planning on doing some work on the muzzie my garage will most likely be empty around that date.
I'm located 15-20 minutes from Port Melb so if J1/TimR or anyone else can assist with helping you move it then my place is possibly closer to your departure area.

Your most welcome to stay as well as Im "batching" these days.
I'll shoot you a u2u will my address & phone #
Cheers, Geoff

PS:As mustangnut says - dash's are my speciallity!!:(
