Hi all
My first post here.
Until recently I enjoyed doing sprints and such in my FG F6 but decided the time had come in my life for a change in direction and move UP and enjoy real cars. I've held a lifelong ambition to own a classic Mustang and as I can't afford both, the F6 had to go. So now she's gone and the money's in the bank and I bought an EF Falcon for $500 to drive around in. LOL

I've been surfing US muscle car sites for years and have built up trusted contacts in the US. I had my guy there searching for a 69 M code Mach 1 but he chanced upon a 1970 Boss 302 in California and he's currently negotiating on it. The Christmas break has stalled things for the moment but he has first right of refusal so I'm not sweating.

This Boss is unmolested low mileage and documented. I already have a copy of the build sheet and original invoice. I'll let you know if the deal comes off and post up pics.

Hi Bee,
It's Grabber Orange and was invoiced with 2.78 four speed, 4.30 -1 traction lok, shaker hood scoop, sport slats, sport deck rear seat, AM radio, tinted glass all round, deluxe belts warning light, tacho & trip ododmeter, front bumper guards.
And came with 4 gallons of petrol invoiced at $1.28 !!!! (That's around 0.7 cents per litre) LOL

Update;
I missed out on the W code Boss but my guy in the States has now located two options.
1. Another Grabber Orange '70 Boss 302 auto, unmolested, matching numbers, no rust, in good driver condition.
2. A '70 Mach 1 M code auto in near show condition, very good colour, frame on restored 10 years ago and not driven much since. Very good eye candy.

If I were to onsell those cars here on OZ what sort of money do you think I could ask for either of them in an "as landed" condition?

Was also never much of a 69-70 fan earlier on but i think the bug has hit.  Would love a 70 Boss or Mach 1.  If ever i get this 65 fastback back together and sold there may be some funds available;2

Also not completely sold on the interior, although i think it is what you get used to.  Having had a 66 for 11 years, everything else just doesn't look right.  Having said that, if i had owned a 70 for the same time, i probably would not be big on the interior of the 66.

My guy checked out the '70 Mach 1 today and it turned out to be a very good car so I bought it. The rare colour is code Y Chestnut Metalic, verified by the Marti report as one of only 368. It's not on the regular 1970 paint chart codes that I have access to.

Meanwhile he's looking at the Boss Wednesday and if it's as good as the documentation suggests, then I guess I have no other choice but to buy it as well.

Here's the Mach 1

If you mean the Mach 1 ... do you want more pics?
If you mean the Boss ... its still up in the air, but there's only a slim chance now that I'll get it. If it comes off I'll let you know soonest.

Very nice indeed.  I wish all you new members out there would stop with the pics of the Mach 1's, i'm trying to hold back from another impulse purchase:+
