I just changed another Mustang to LSV, went from $165 to $116, but that was bundled with others I have so no real comparison.

Actually I have never had any issue with any insurance company both here in Oz or the US (personal claims). In the US I had repaired a lot of classic cars for different ins co's over there, never an issue with anything I quoted.

Thanks Kerry - we'll start searching in the new year.
I think it will be a fastback this time around.:f

We've changed our username to GT350H.
No point running with the Emberglo-66 name, too many bad memories.

Now that we've been paid out, we've got our eyes on one ( Shelby GT350H replica ) and hoping to do the deal ( in the US ).

Yes - the one in our avatar.

I'll run a spread on it once the deal has been closed. Its looking good.

Hi again John and Kathy,

Its great news your checking out another car.
I hope it works out for you.
Its important to put the past behind and move forward.

On the positive side, I think many people have learnt a few things from this thread.
First we have the issue with lap seat belts. We all knew they not the safest by a long shot, but I think we all accept it a little to easy. Its a toughy - dependant on how much you drive your stang. But it only takes one idiot driver to cause grief. Its a touchy subject.
Secondly, I have both cars insured with LSV, after recommendations from another user on this forum.
They certainly make sure their customers aren't buggered around.
What a great help to you both they didn't drag it out.
I am sticking with LSV for life now.

Sorry again to read about losing your beloved car.
Glad the passion is still strong.

Kind Regards,
John

Thanks John.
Yeah, a couple of lessons learned here.
LSV - they were fantastic and we couldn't fault them. We have sent of an email commending them on the way they handled things.

Seat belts - the jury is out for us, we're in 2 minds.

We thought long and hard about repairing the 66 Coupe but in the end decided to move on as we didn't want to be contantly reminded about the accident. The guy that has offered to buy the wreck is going to repair it. Good on him:(

I'll keep you posted with the new project:f

I will be back over in the US early January if you want an opinion on the car you are looking at. Not a good time for flying around over there (or transporting unless its near a coast). Housing in the background picture looks west coast, so let me know if I can help.

It is not "watch the shopping in Gilroy" but "watch the SHOPPERS in Gilroy"! I never venture into town from 10am -3pm. They are crazy, just driving out of parking areas onto roads without looking, all on the phone, crossing roads (walking) without looking, running red lights (& that's just the roads) & you cannot get near a resturaunt or burger joint around noon.
