Windscreen wiper woes.

I am having problems with my wipers, they work for a few minutes then stop for about 30-40 seconds and start again and then stop and then start. I replaced the wiper motor thinking this was the obvious problem but with the new motor I have the same problem, the car is '67 model.
Anyone had similar problems or any suggestions :w

HI!
Try looking at the fuse or a hot loose joint! Cause this mite be causing the amps to go high and trip the thermal cut out. mmmm.....sounds good!

either that or your wiper switch is dicey.

Thanks Heven 67 and Jas, I think I'll check out the wiper switch first as this once happened on a Range Rover I had, if my memory is correct it was the switch, once again thanks to both of you for your advice.
Laurie.
