Hey Matt.
Whats the rust/accident damage situation on this car?
I am looking for my next project, seeing as the coupe will be on the road soon.
Not bothered about mecahnicals or trim (except the hard to get bits).
What would I be up for landed in Melbourne?

from what I saw of it...its definately a project.

new floors and new boot pans. Its still got all the pony interior but you would want to offer him less to make it worth while.

shipping it may pose a problem if I cant get it running

If its doable, I would be interested.
If it needs new floors i guess it comes down to how solid, straight the rest of the car is.
Not much point in shipping a basket case though.
Your call if its worth a second look or not?
Cheers
Doug

Mate

I will go back down there next week, maybe week after...its not goin anywhere, Same as my other little barn find...a 1964 1/2 D code cali car coupe, numbers matching allready bead blasted ready to restore $3500us

You can have first dibs on this rust bucket mate and I reckon I can get it cheaper for ya anyway.

But to give you a heads up....new quarters, floor, trunk floors, rear tailight panel and lower support.

I was going to buy it for myself to put out the back for a rainy day but sheri would spit it...another bucket of shi7 fastback :w

Hey thanks Matt.
Its losing its attraction!!
Sounds like its a bit past my level of skill (or patience).
If it was just the floors and some patches, I would have a crack.
Once you start getting into quarters and tail panels......its all a bit to hard!
Still, that s why its cheap.
Like every other bugger out there, I am after a cheapish fastback project. (not sure that i can use fastback and cheap in the same sentance!)
65 through to 69.
Have looked at a couple over the last few months at around the 20k mark (AusD), complete basket cases!
I am sure you could sell em a hundred times over, if you could find em.
I will keep an eye out incase you turn any thing up.
I left an email for you with my contact details (just in case!!).
Cheers
