A bit more progress has been made. Finally we are gathering a bit of momentum, hopefully it will continue.

Shame to cover up that beautiful wheel well with fenders!
If it's worth owning, it's had a song written about it.

Havent done an update for a while so I figured its about due. Spoke to piston man this morning & they should be shipped on Monday. Provided he isnt full of sh#t I should have them by the end of next week. Happy days, as then the engine can be assembled & get plonked in the engine bay. Once it is in it can stay there, so I will be stoked when that happens.

Engine bay just needs a good clean ready for engine install.

Brake lines are all in & bled, they have done a nice job I think.

The boot is now pretty much taken up with the flux capacator.

Handbrake courtesy of a VY commodore. It clears the original console & with the cover on it will match the rest of the trim nicely.

And finally the one piece glass is now married to the electric regs. What a pain in the ass this was to make work. They balanced on the edge of the bin a few times, but I am glad we persevered.

Just playing about with panel gaps now, then it will be ready to paint.

It will have plenty of Bling, although a bit of Bing would certainly set it off  Oh my, the possibilities are endless. I reckon it word turn some heads fishtailing down Bar Street. You coming? We can squeeze a Jam tin in there somewhere I am sure.

The cash OT is what is keeping it moving. It is good though, all the boys want to see it finished as much as I do.

Cages is not too far off painting the outside.

Hi Steve I just wondering if when your repairing the body's r u using a tig or just a mig. Interested to no if your trying to control the distortion or is it not that much of a drama
I have told the missus .I am going to buy a mustang so deal with it

Shouldnt be too long now Mal, hopefully in the next 4 weeks or so.

All the welding is either using a mig or spotwelder. One of the Migs is an inverter, it doesnt get the whole area as hot so it is pretty good controlling distortion. We have an inverter spot welder as well, but it is more for new cars with HS steel. The normal spot welder is fine on the old girls. When we replace panels we spot weld them as per factory to keep it looking as original as possible.

Matt, it is an AOI rack.

Had a bit of a setback yesterday, the pistons I had waited on since February are the wrong ones. They sent 30 thou over 427 pistons instead of 390. :banghead:
