1962 Valiant

Hi all

Seeing though there are so many knowledgable people on here, i thought i would ask this question.
My father is interested in 2x 1962 Valiants. Apparently they are in almost showroom condition and are both white in colour.
My question is, would anyone know what price these should go for? Not knowing valiants at all, im not sure on what to tell him. He says that he believes that the 62 model is the best and would love to own them both!
If anyone could give me an idea on price, that would be great, then i can pass on the info to him...
Cheers

Scott, those were the "S" series and "R" series valiants. They introduced push button auto trans to Australia. An acquaintance of mine bought one about 4 yrs ago in good tidy original nick, and paid $7k or so. The "Chequered Flag" grille was a popular option in the day. I hope this is helpful, and I wish him luck as they were popular and reliable cars and considered highly appointed for the cost.
Cheers, Ron B

If they are R series vals, egg crate grill and tail lights in the fins and they are immaculate, under 20 grand, snap 'em up they are pretty rare! that one in the picture is a S series and well 10 grand or so is fair...I would watch them for rust pretty closely...all vals rust!

What sort of money are they asking?

Try the R & S Series Valiant Car Club for an idea of the value of these two cars.

Contacts are listed in the back pages of Just Cars.

A club price estimate is a useful basis for negotiating with a vendor.

Guilty as charged!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is as wide as I could get

Oops, nope I upgraded to

But then again, I think I'd rather have wide seats instead of wide wheels, it's so much more fun!

Ok, let's be honest!
