Hey - just been stateside on business and i got to rent a Hertz Shelby for a few days in LA.

What a Blast - not many places you can rent a 450hp mustang.

Had it hooked up doing 90mph going down Sunset Blvd all the way to the PCH (pacific coast highway)- then flat out until we reached Santa Monica beach.

A smooth ride with the Neddie's to punch you back in your seat.

Pity you cant get them here -
:w:w

hassle the guys for WEB rates - we ended getting them down to $180 per day

still expensive , but it was well worth it - By the way , they have disabled the Traction Control turn off switch
so TC is on all the time.

so No burnouts --------- Bummer

My CS is a bits and wont make it out to the September meeting.

just bought a whole heap or roller suspension products , now i need a bloody expert suspension person to help me fit the stuff.

States was fun for a day - but getting through the Airports was a Hassle
and a Coal Mine is a Coal mine no matter where they are in the world

I went for a little drive to QLD and havnt been online.
The suspension stuff sounds interesting hope you get it sorted soon.
WA suspenion in Osbourne Park have been very good to deal with so it could be worth giving them a call.
Will you be at the meeting without the CS?

Yes i used them for the RRS struts and R&P unit, and Scott has used them to sort his 66 coup, they went the extra mile in both cases.
Could be worth a call to sound them out.

Hey Phil,
I've actually been thinking of doing this as well - I've actually got enough fly buy points for a trip to LA, and the Missus reckons overseas is not on, so I thought, "what can I do for a day or two over there and be back in a week?"
Hire a Mustang and take it for a drive!
It was interesting to here about the close inspection on return, but only to be expected I guess.
Hope you had a blast!

Aaron.

IMHO - i spent 3 months in the states this year - they are plastic bits of shit - i drove, sat in and looked at plenty in my time there and i think the plastic detailess car bored me to tears - this is coming from a mustang fan and owner.

Next time someone knocks you for owning a 'not real' mustang, ask em where there's is parked!

Most knockers couldn't afford a rusted out HD holden let alone a muzzy!
