Hi guys,

I thought that maybe showing my car pics might help me feel better about not having finished building the damn thing :)

It's currently getting the final work to get her on the road in the next couple of months.

Hi and thanks.
The Simmons are 18" and the handbrake is a Lokar handbrake I got from Rocket Industries some time back. Can't remember for how much though. Still fiddling with getting new cables made up to suite the disk rear end.

Hi Tom,
The engine is a 302 with Edelbrock Performer alloy heads. Solid cam, roller rcokers....etc. I'm running a toploader with 9" rear.

I haven't kicked the motor over yet, still got a few more things to do before its running. Hope it goes well, I have no idea how much power it will output.

Thanks guys, mean a lot coming from owners of hot looking cars.

I noticed the lack of side vent/bling on both your cars. I'm not sure if I should put badges and emblems on. I'm a little torn. What are your views?
Thanks
Dru

Just like the clean look. Will probably repaint in the next 3 years to get it spot on and have the mustang emblem with the running horse airbrushed and cleared over and have no badges at all.

Thanks Bee, I'm hoping to have it on the road before October. I'm pushing for it to be earlier.

Where are you from? Sydney too?

By the way, for many years I've been a hater of the Mustang convertible and even argued with my wife over which model to build cause she wanted the vert and i wanted the fastback. In the end we settled for the coupe...UNTIL... I seen a pic of your car. The best example of a mustang convertible ever! Love it.... wanna swap :)

Cheers,
Dru

Hey guys,
Been doing a lot of reading through the forums of late and noticed people take the piss out of red mustangs, especially 66's.

Sooooo..... started to think about changing the appearance slightly as a point change is just out of scope (budget).

What about gold stripes like the Shelby's? or would I look like a tossa cause it's not one? plus its a coupe not a fastback?

Thanks
Dru

I laugh at those with red mustangs, as both of mine are red because that's how they were when i got them.

Build the car for you - and you will be happy;+

Dru, There's nothing wrong with a red Mustang. Red is popular on them because it looks good!...Plus red cars GO FASTER!!...Just ask Heven 67!! There are a lot of coupes with the Le Mans (shelby) stripes and they look good. There was a red one up here in Newcastle a few years ago with the gold stripes like you mentioned, and it looked really good. It's your car, do what makes you feel good with it!
Cheers, Ron B
