vent window rubber replacement on 66

g,day people, installing new seals on vent windows and having dramas where the division bar seal meets the vent frame seal .It would seem i have to trim both ends of the division bar seal so that i can rivet it into place,dont want to cut it at all if i can help it (leaks and wind noise)  might be a case of a reproduction mess up! Old seals tossed out a long time ago(lesson learned) so cannot cross reference, any tips or photos appreciated!

Hi 2+266,
I've just finished assembling my 66 front 1/4 windows.The rubber stripe requires trimming slightly.one side was ok but one req trim.advise to try to leave it a tiny bit longer just incase the rubber shrinks over the years.

thanks for the tip, just installed vent window seals,roofrail seals, door seals and drip gutter moulds all starting to come together.
