Hi all.

Just wondering the best place to grab a trailer from so I can tow my new ride home when she is cleared from Customs.

Could someone please indicate the weight of a '67 coupe.

I have heard 1588 kgs and a few of the trailers I have seen are maximum towing capacity of 1200 kgs and the other 1500 kgs.

Was wondering if someone could assist.

*scratches head*

Oh and preferably with a winch attachment.

Hey Vicpark, nice to see your car is nearly here;_ Mate your 67 coupe should weigh 2695lb which equates to 1222kg. Cheers kiwi.

Sorry mate i gave you the weight for a 6 cyl. It should be 2885lb or 1311kg.

CVE Performance has just ordered a new trailer, that can legally carry about 2300kg on it. I can get a price on hire, if your tow car is setup for Electric Brakes.

Try U Haul on 1800 883 075 or Handy Hire on 1800 426 394.

I think both have pickup points spread around the 'burbs.

Just tell them you want to load out a Mustang which isn't the heaviest of cars.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions peeps. I'm not going to worry about driving her as I want to give her the once over mechanically et al before I contemplate driving of any nature.

Howdy mate. Supposed to dock on the 29th (tomorrow) but checked shipping arrivals and looks like the 1st May, around 3.30 a.m. Tis ok I'm not going to watch it come in or anything.....:+

Well car has well and truly landed. Somewhere on the docks as we speak. Just needs to clear quarantine and she's just about done.

And as for a response to your message Johnno I contemplated going down there and leap-frogging the fence but the thought of being chased by a horde of hungry Rotties with gnashing teeth I erred on the side of caution and think I might wait until I get the :=
