Signed myself up for my second Mustang yesterday with help from Steve at Mustangs of Melbourne.

She's a 1966 Fastback, 289, 4 speed manual. :+

She is in Oz already and is having roadworthy and other small stuff done now.

Collection date is hopefully Friday 24th April - just in time to cruise to Whittlesea on the Sunday if we can get organised.

You'll be the only guy driving around Melbourne holding an umbrella out the window!!!

Enjoy .. its only water ....  and it then gives you a reason to wash, polish and wax the machine during the week ,,,

Stang8 ,
Just sent you a U2U

We changed our insurance back in Feb after reviewing few different companies & also talking with various club members.
Ours is only mainly driven on weekends & the occassional RDO if weather is good.

Hope you enjoy the drive home tomorrow.

Cheers, Caretaker

Well guys (& girls) the new best friend is tucked away safely in the garage.

Sounds absolutely awesome.

Looks awesome.

Even smells awesome. :+

Stopped at the petrol station on the way home to top up and had my first "OMG" admirer. :+

Only issue was when I went to leave the servo the brakes had locked (master cylinder issue), but it was quickly rectified and we were on our way.

She looks so good in the garage, so might go and tuck her in shortly and have one last look before bed.

Shall take pictures over the weekend !

Thanks for all the well wishes from everyone !

Congrats stang8. :(
Did you fillerup at the Caltex on the corner of Canterbury and Liverpool Rds?
I did 3 1/2 years ago and when they asked how long I had my 67 Coupe I answered, " about 4 minutes ".:+:+:+
It was a great cruise back to Narre Warren.

HI IGALOP,

That's a classic isn't it !!

Filled up near home in Lysterfield but it's sooooooooo cool having strangers just walk up and start talking about how cool the car is !

My drive home was sedate but can't wait til the roads are dry to give her real go.

Cheers
