I think we can make that happen mo. Hopefully it will be finished but it needs to be right before it leaves. Just a few little mechanical issues to iron out.

Hi Bas,

You will need an engine number (Mustangs often used the last 5 numbers in the VIN if you're going to create one), otherwise the Police issue one I think (which may take some time)?  Or a Blue Slip guy who may have imagined the engine number and happened to write it on the form!

Hmmm.....just called the mechanic who does blue slips for older cars all the time.....
Told me all I need is the paper work, no need for engine number .........
He says, just bring the paper work, that's all I need.
might just get the weigh bridge thing done anyway b4 it goes to blue slip, just incase.
If it needs an engine number, then maybe the mechanic can get it organised for me.
Lets see how long this process stretches out to.....:[

Atleast I get to drive it from Steves' to the mechanic.........:a

Where is the engine number supposed to be located. Might need to double check & see if the last 5 digits of the vin stamped on there have somehow been overlooked::

Stamp it on top of the blockat the rear, just behind the inlet manifold.

Ladies & gentlemen the resto is complete, well stage one anyway. The powerplant is a job for another time.
The beast now has rego & will be terrorising the streets of Sydney tommorow night. I havent posted pics yet as I said the next ones would be with Bas sitting in it. When he came for a look the other week I forgot to take any. Tommorow when he picks it up I will be camera in hand. I believe it will be going to a show & shine on Sunday for any Sydneysiders that want to check it out in the flesh. Bas can advise of the location as I cant remember where it was. Stay tuned:(

Drum roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bas, I am sure i speak for the majority of "the brotherhood" in saying WOOOOOHOOOOO!
We are all hanging to see the pics of you laying a decent licorice strips out of Steves driveway!
Over the last few Months we have all followed the ups and downs of the build with great interest.
I just came in from the shed after spending a couple of hours tinkering with my coupe (and debating which way to jump with my fastback).
Your posts have been an inspiration to lots of us that have been toiling away with our pony's.
They say nothing good is easy ( I am sure Steve would attest to that!)
Great work to you, Steve and all that have had input into bringing this project to fruition:(:(:(:(:(

Baz, don't forget the video camera as I know J1 will want to see footage.

Couldnt help myself, waiting for Bas to ring me so I can go & pick him up. New album started Bas Finished.

Before anyone says anything I know the Shelby plate is in the wrong spot.
1) It aint a Shelby
2) Bas will see it everytime he hops in the car & I think it will make him smile.
