Pretty much just got to give it a clean & get the blue slip. Touch up a few bolts etc & we are done. Look out Sydney here comes Bas & his Eleanor!!

I will take a few more snaps of the trim in a little while, looks pretty sexy.

I'll be puttin a lot on, but at this stage its just trying to find someone in Sydney that will do a blue-slip without any hassles.

67-er whats with da GO-Mummy and Daddy-Go ??!?!?!
Surely the only one that would sell is the Go-Baby-Go....maybe the BURN-BABY-BURN, but the rest ;3

Those gearknobs remind me when I had my AC Cobra replica - the 1st time I took my wife for a spin - was on the westgate fwy here and I gave it a bootful coming onto an on-ramp. She turned to me with a terrified look on her face and said 'Frank , Frank ... what's that burning smell ??!!'.

I had a grin ear-to-ear and just turned and said 'Rubber, Baby , Rubber ...'.

I just had the paxton fitted with still had the skinny tyres on the back for the roadworthy and left a cloud of smoke about 100 ft long.

Not something I would do in broad daylight today I dont think.

Cheers,
Frank.

I've got a place now booked in for Friday arvo, hopefully they won't give me any grief.

What paper work did you have to provide?

Sorry, did you have an engine number on your car already? if not, was that an issue with the blue slip guys?

I had no real issues as they do mustangs all the time.

I had an engine number stamped by the fellas that restored the car for me. They just used the VIN for that...

Paper work you need:

Import approval papers showing your cars VIN
Weight bridge ticket
Bill of sale (not 100% if you need this for the blue slip, just bring it along anyways).
Don't know if you need any engineering cert for the work done... maybe the other fellas on the forum can help?
I know i didn't as it was mainly cosmetic work, nothing major, and its still lhd... so you should be ok.

I think thats it off the top of my head. Fairly straight forward.

hope it helps!!

Definately helps :(
Did you need the weigh bridge ticket BEFORE you took it to blue slip?....i think you only need that when you go to RTA.

I don't have my engine stamped so I hope that ain't gonna be another hold up.:-

Yeah I think you definitely need it before the blue slip.

Theres a weight declaration section on the form that they fill out when doing the blue slip inspection.

Just get it outta the way, took me 5 mins, and 27bucks!
